Thank you so much for all the support with the raffle tickets! The sale officially ends on Saturday morning, May 24th, and we will do the drawing at 12:00 noon that day. The winner will be notified immediately and I will post to the website. Good luck to all who have entered!
Please continue to keep us in prayer as we now have less time to come up with the much needed funds than we had anticipated. We will be working and hoping to get all the necessary fees covered. There is one last fundraiser in June which will be an all day scrapbooking event. If you are interested please e-mail me and I can get the details to you!

Well, the garage sale was a good success! We split the money 4 ways and each family ended up with approximately $275.00. We are still working on selling the raffle tickets. However, if you look at my latest update dated April 22nd under "The Wait" section, then you'll realize I had better get to selling a lot of those tickets! China, here we come!

Hi friends and family! We wanted to let you know about an awesome fundraiser we are starting today that will run through May 23rd, 2008. We will be raffling off a travel voucher for $500.00 from www.amgvacations.com.
The winner of the raffle will be drawn on May 24th and notified. This voucher can be used to book airline tickets, cruises, hotel rooms or vacation packages. If your reservations exceed $500.00 you would only need to pay the difference.
The raffle tickets are 1 for $10.00 or 3 for $25.00, and you can purchase a ticket or tickets using the chip in at the bottom of this page or by e-mailing me for the address to send money to, or in person, of course!

Hi friends and family. I decided to start this section so that we could have a place to tell you all about upcoming fundraisers and how our efforts are coming along. When deciding to fundraise, I looked into a lot of information on the Internet and could not believe how upset some people are at others who fundraise towards their adoptions. Many people have negative feelings. I just want to say from the beginning, if you do not want to participate in any fundraiser I may offer to you, please just say no, but do not be negative. International adoption is very expensive, and with the falling US dollar the price of portions of the adoption are going up when it comes to the China fees. So I have teamed up with 3 other adoptive families and we will be holding fundraisers to help offset this cost. If you have any good ideas for a fundraiser please let me know.
Our first team fundraiser is a garage sale on April 18th and 19th in Kissimmee. If you would like to donate anything please let me know. We have received many great items and I cannot wait for the sale. We will also be having a bake sale that day.
And as you may have already noticed, there is a chip in widget on this page, also. Anything donated no matter how big or small will go towards my own personal orphanage donation fee in China. This will not be split with the other families. This money is used in China to help with the care of the orphans and also many times the elderly as they are often housed together.
