Fall 2005:
Completed foster care training in Utah; planning to adopt from foster care.

March 2006:
We met a family with a Chinese daughter who introduced us to the possibilites of International Adoption.

May 2006:
We began paperchasing.

June 17th, 2006:
We first saw Mei's picture....

End of June:
We notified the agency of our interest.

September 2006:
We sent our LOI (Letter of Intent) to adopt Mei-Ling.

November 29th, 2006:
After Michael's 30th birthday (November 20th) we received our PA (Pre-Approval) to adopt Mei-Ling!

February 26th, 2007:
Good news! Today our paperwork was finally sent to China! It has taken a long time to get our dossier complete but it's finally done. Now the real wait begins but it's all up to China now.

March 5th, 2007:
We finally received our Log In Date (LID)!!! YAY!! Now we play the waiting game until our referral!

June 12th, 2007:
We received our Letter of Approval today! Wooohoo! I'm pretty excited but also a bit in shock. Wow, it's really happening!

July 16th, 2007:
We received our Travel Approval!!!!!

September, 2007:
Travel is booked!!! Departure date is September 14th, 2007 and returning home on September 26th, 2007. Mei-Ling, here we come!!!
