The Child's View Says Even More
A couple of days ago we got back all the pictures from the one-use only cameras we had to use the last days in Guangzhou. Amongst those were the ones we had given Xiao Guo to use while in Guangzhou and while he was still living and going to school in FuDing City.

From the outset our adoption of John David Guo Lyman has been... shall we say... just a little bit... different!!! We definitely wanted an older child, and, we became completely enamored with this boy child’s eyes and precious face. He was OUR SON!!!

So... I thought... since every adopted child has had his/her picture splashed across the Web in every conceivable pose known to mankind for the entire world to see... here, world, is an adopted child’s view, trying to capture just as many poses known to mankind for the entire world to see - of his former world, his new world, and his Baba and Mama.

As his new parents, we can tell you for sure no amount of pictures could possibly capture what has been absorbed through his eyes and mind in the last three weeks. There is still not an hour that goes by in which he doesn’t make a new discovery. Yet, those sparkling eyes and mind have always been there waiting to be discovered .

Some of the pictures you are about to see will not be straight or centered, but that's ok - it's the child-like quality that makes them so special. Enjoy....

Good thing Mama warned him!

OK, Mama - so DUH! - What is it?

I'm not sure what he's thinking here

And Mama keeps telling everyone
I'm the silly one....

I'm not really sure
what Mama was up to here
