We are so much closer to coming home. We flew from Nanchang to Guangzhou today. After we checked into the amazingly wonderful hotel we went for the visa photo and for the physical examination. Jaelin weighed in at 18 pounds with all of her clothes on. She passed all of our tests though she screamed through them all and was proclaimed a "Strong and beautiful baby".
We checked out the McDonalds and for the first time Jaelin refused to eat. She does not like French fries, she does not like hamburger, she does not like chicken nuggets unless you peel the bread off of it. She hates coke. She loves Happy Meal toys, though. After we got back to the hotel, Jaelin and I went for a walk. I love Guangzhou! I just love it. It is special somehow and the weather is very appealing. Everything is very cheap here for shopping. Jaelin and I walked for a couple of hours and got into the section where you can tell no Americans ever go. Everybody is very friendly. The school children all love to practice their English on you when they see you. There is all kinds of food. Tomorrow, I will go to Shamian Island for shopping. Our paperwork will be filed tomorrow with the American Consulate.
