Good Morning Everybody, Jaelin and I are home!! We travelled over 29 hours and we made it. Kendrick, Katie, Ruitong and Joe were waiting at the airport with a nice sign for Jaelin. Jaelin sure was not sure about Kendrick at first and certainly could not stand that I picked him up and gave him a hug. The next challenge was the car seat. Boy, she does not like that, as anticipated. When we got upstairs to the room that she and Kendrick share, whe was one happy camper. They played and played until 2:00 in the morning. She is now sleeping happily in her crib. The trip home was long and amazing. People were so sympathetic wherever we went. We left the hotel a little before 6:00 am., on Friday, which was like 8:00 pm., on Thursday for my Texas friends. It was so sad to say goodbye to everyone, but not much of a chance to as we rushed to get checked in. I am not sure I would have made it to the 8:20 am., flight accept that little one started to wail after waiting one hour in the security check line. A guard let me through. In Hong Kong we stopped at the Disney Store. I bought a "Minnie" for Jaelin and she loves it. We made it to the plane where I had a nice bulkhead seat. The minute the door closed I was thinking maybe it would be better if I got off and lived in Hong Kong for the rest of my life. I was not looking foward to the 15 hours of flight with a toddler. I was not the only one, though, thankfully. There were about six others aboard. Jaelin finally started to sleep about 7 hours into the flight and she slept a good five hours. Mom slept from Siberia to Alaska. I don't think that is very far. Another guy was bringing his 10-month-old back by himself, and we both commented on how addicting the flight trip monitor can be. It updates every 3 minutes in English. When we landed Jaelin became a United States citizen! Then we had the three hour packed flight from Newark, where I once again had a nice man who played with Jaelin sitting next to me. In Houston I got to the plane in time for them to start bumping people. Luckily we made it. We are off to meet Santa this morning. One day become a citizen, the next see Santa. Jaelin is in for a big life. Thanks to "Red Thread Girls" for providing me the means to make this journal. Amanda is ready to begin her own journey this week and I wish her the best of luck. Jennifer
