WE'RE HOME FROM CHINA!

January, 2006

Lots of photos to show in this update but not much to say. Ceinwen is now walking, thanks to buying new shoes for her that had harder soles, rather than the soft soled crawler shoes that she did have.

I'm Walking!

Ceinwen had been taking the odd few steps on her own since the beginning of December, but had never fully let go until we changed her shoes, and on the same day she was off, and hasn’t looked back!

Georgina had Harvey christened at the beginning of this month (a couple of days before Ceinwen fully let go!) and we all went down for that, and had a good time, as you’ll see with some of the pics!

We celebrated Chinese New Year of the Dog with our CACH Mother and Tot group, by meeting up at a soft play centre on the Welsh/English border (our first group meeting in N Wales because we’ve always been to a different place in NW England so far!). There were 18 children there, with Gwion the only non-Chinese child! They all had a great time and it was great to meet up with all the new babies again, including one that had only come back the week before! Otherwise we didn’t really celebrate Chinese New Year this year, except to send out a few cards, and give Gwion and Ceinwen some money in little red envelopes as is tradition in China. Next year we might go to Chinatown in Manchester to see the New Year's Day parade, but we thought Ceinwen was too small to go this year.
