Gwion had his 3rd birthday on the 1st February. Can’t believe that three years have gone by so quickly. Gwion had a party that his friends from Ysgol Feithrin (Welsh nursery class) came to at a soft play centre and they all enjoyed themselves! Gwion loved opening all his presents and Ceinwen tried to help him!

Also, it’s hard to believe that two years ago we started our homestudy report, which was the beginning of the long road to get Ceinwen! Actually, it’s all gone much quicker than we thought, especially as we’ve had Ceinwen now for nearly five months, and there are lots of people in our adoption groups that two years down the line still haven’t got their new daughters home yet. So we’ve been very lucky with the whole process only taking 19 months (start to Ceinwen arriving in the UK).

Our Social Worker has been around to do our six month report for China, a little bit early but at least it’s done! Ceinwen is running around all over the place, and can now come down the stairs as easily as going up them and has become quite a little chatterbox! Rhodri says she definitely belongs to the Welsh side of my family! She understands both English and Welsh very easily and her favourite words at the moment are “eto” (again in Welsh) and “me, me, me”! She says that to everything she wants, so she definitely knows what it means! Ceinwen’s confidence is growing and she’s a very happy little girl, very strong minded too! She’s very quick learning things, copies a lot from Gwion. She’s becoming very cheeky, too, and is much more on the go than Gwion was, but she is very good at concentrating on what she is doing, like Gwion does.

Ceinwen still only has 3 teeth, so lots more teething problems to come! I hope they all come through very quickly, but there hasn’t been any signs of the 4th one for the last 2 months! Doesn’t stop her from eating anything and everything, though!
