Another fairly quiet month. We went up to West Yorkshire to stay with an old school friend of mine, Lynda, and her family. I’m godmother to her youngest daughter, Susie, and Lynda’s going to be godmother to our new addition. We haven’t seen each other for a year, and the girls have really gotten tall, and Gwion’s changed a lot since they all last saw him. We were given a bottle of “champagne” to open when we get our referral, which is really nice, and they also have given us squares for the quilt.

In mid April we had another Chinese student to stay, who is from Hong Kong. Seren was really chatty and we all got on very well. She’s told us about a couple of Chinese classical CD’s to get, and we certainly learnt a lot from her. She’s also told us that as Gwion was born on the first day of Chinese New Year, he can have two birthdays each year. One on his birthday, and also one every Chinese New Year! Won’t tell him that though!

Have also joined the secret buddy scheme on the Dec DTC group. We have themes each month. So my secret buddy doesn’t know that I’m from Wales, I’m ordering most of my gifts on the Internet. Also saves on postage. We reveal who we are at the end of July.

My secret buddy sent me a scrapbooking kit and some stickers, which is great. Something else I’m meaning to do.
