Hey all you CD'ers! I had hoped to update the Q&A section by now, but that is taking longer than expected. Here are some morsels of CD goodness to tide you over 'til then, I hope!

* Polls: Do you write fan fiction? -Or do you have no clue what it is? Brag on your prolific pen or claim your utter confusion in February's first new poll, then sound off about the CD world in poll dos ("two" for ya'll who fell asleep in spanish class).

* FanFic Pick-of-the-Month for February: Long ago read and loved, find the hidden treasure that I dusted off and placed on the mantle of this month's Fan Fiction page.

Long time since I've updated! Much stuff has happened: read on.

* #1 on Google for keyword "colorwoods". Finally beat out that underwear site--a victory if I ever knew one!

* Bi-monthly updates. Yep, the new polls and fanfic picks-of-the-month will only come every other month now. I blame the still rather small number of Smith stories at ff.net--le's git writin' folks!

* New Q&A content soon! A holiday present for you, coming just in time. That's the most tedious part of the site to set up, though it does result in the most interesting content. Copying and then reformatting everything so it looks neat and readable and clickable is really time consuming, though.

* Fellowship of the Tower temporarily offline. My affiliate is currently moving FotT to a new hosting location, so the top link button on the sidebar takes you to a blank page right now. Should eventually be fixed so it's all hunky-dory. I don't want this to be a site with perpetually broken links, so if you find any other ones, contact me asap!

New Q&A content has arrived! (Okay, this was supposed to be posted yesterday, but there were some, ah, technical glitches... and I got rear-ended in a parking lot - not my fault, thank goodnes...) New information added to all sections except Q&A Miscellaneous, now tagged in bold with direct linkage (a bit glitchy but I will fix in soon), still with a little NEW text. I had a bit of trouble putting everything in a fitting group--I think I'll need to rearrange the sections soon. They're getting too big!

Also: As of today, Colorwoods celebrates its 3-Month online anniversary! Whee! Since June 11th '04 the site has been viewed by over 1,100 first time visitors, and, of those, over 720 have returned to check out the site again. Such stats (based on cookie, provided by statcounter.com) continue to make the creation and maintenence feel worthwhile. A big 'THANK YOU!' to all you awesome visitors! Of course, far more gratifying than such stats is a personal message left in my guestbook. I hope anyone who has comments, and especially, suggestions, feels free to jot me a note. Thanks in advance!

Added Q&A info from CastleTlanth messages 2000-2500. There was quite a bit in only those 500 msgs! At least 1 new piece of info for each of the four categories (though only 1 in the Miscellaneous section...). Each new thing has this - NEW text by it.

I rearranged the subcategories a bit; now there is a Character Actions section as well as a Merindar House Party section inside the Characters and Events page. I'll probably also be rearranging all the General info on the About the World page soon too (there's just a ton there now!).

Fun stuff! M. Kotoko of The Fellowship of the Tower just sent me three awesome link buttons for the site! So pretty! So now if you have a website you can link to me with a cool graphic. Working on uploading and formatting the next set of Q&A stuff, also, but it isn't done quite yet, I'm afraid. Hoping to get the next batch up by the end of July, so check back soon!

Added one new link: 4 Fashion Sketches by Sherwood Smith. Hmm... now I can't remember where I came across this... oh well.

Also added information on how to Become My Next Affiliate. Random site ideas to getcha started... a site with spoofs, a Wren site, a site dedicated to CD fashion, or fan language... Ooo! A site about creating a CD movie! Could have pics of actors to play the parts, a place to sign to show your support, a way to nominate actors and make comments and vote, maybe? .... Neato!

Updating, but with mostly nitpicky housekeeping stuff.

Aded two new pages:

The News Archive will house old news that I wanna keep around for, well, basically no reason. I just think it's cool that someday I'll have a ton of old updates in there as a testament to the age of this site!

The More by Sherwood Smith page includes general info and links to other stories that I realized I hadn't really mentioned as of yet, such as Vidanric's Birthday Surprise and Beauty.

Layout: I moved the links to my Guestbook and email notification for updates to the sidebar - it was rather hard to find them down below all the news. Also added quick links to other CD sites to the sidebar (the pictures are cool, no?). Incidently, about the update notifications, I'll only email you when I actually update the content of the site, like adding more Q&A stuff that you'll want to read, not unimportant stuff like changing the text font (below).

Text: Changed from boring 'ol Times New Roman to awesome Garamond. (I really like the way capital Ts look!) Hopefully this shows up on everyone's browsers okay, and is large enough to read. If you're having any problems, please let me know.

Also, added a new 'Comments' feature! Now you can leave your thoughts about each new news item, or drop me a quick note about this or that. Feel free to test it out! [Edit: Actually, not so much. Having javascript enabled pointlessly on this page bugs the bejeezes out of me, especially when I already have two other ways for people to contact me - So comments have now gone bye-bye.]

Check out my first affiliate CD site, The Fellowship of the Tower! Has a spiffy archive so you can submit fanfics and fanart. Here are two other new links as well: Enmity: A Crown Duel Fanlisting and a Crown Duel Quiz.

Also: Have pretty much finished Chapter 5 of my fanfic In the Rain. If you've read it before (and can remember what's going on, since it's been about six months since I updated...) I would love to have a couple more proof-readers. Email me and I'll send you an early copy!

New Q&A info added to each of the four sections! Lots of interesting questions from CD lovers, answered by Sherwood Smith herself, of course. Newly uploaded info is from message numbers 1000-2000 in the archives of the Yahoo! group CastleTlanth. All have this nifty - NEW text by them to make them easy to find.

Also, questions are listed at the top of each page under a subcategory: you can click on the subcategory (such as "Romance" or "Fashion") and it will scroll you directly to those Q&As. Just making sure everyone could utilize that; my html isn't very advanced, but I want to make this site easy to use.

You can also use the yellow search box on the left sidebar to search this site - should come in handy when I have a lot of info cataloged here!

Also, ya'll are really falling behind on the guest book signage! Over 300 visitors and only 2 entries? C'mon and leave me a note, comment, or suggestion - I'll be happy and then update again soon!

Layout updates complete! Had to take a day off there to do stuff with the family; ate waaaay too many Jelly Bellys while at an outdoor theatre production; broadway songs now firmly stuck in my head. Anyways, the beautiful new banner is courtesy of Peace Angel; are you not totally in awe of its awesomeness? I know I am!

Added a new link to the Links page; it's Mystical Skies, another CD website. I'm trying to make this site a nice networking spot for us CD lovers. Hope to have many more links to add in the future! (Hint, hint.)

Should be adding more Q&A stuff within the next few weeks. Also working on my fanfic In the Rain (Really! I am! Don't look at me like that!).

Yay! Colorwoods is online! Right now I'm still only like 1/6 of the way through with searching and organizing and uploading info into the Q&A sections, but I thought I had enough for a start.

If anyone likes designing banners and such, I'd love to get a new title banner for the site. I'm too lazy right now to go through all the picture editing and everything to do anything creative. If someone wants to make one and send it to me, I'll give you credit and unending adoration on the 'About Site' page. Only requirements are that it says 'Colorwoods' in big letters, and is fairly colorful and pretty. Maybe some trees in the background? [ Edit: Thanks Peace Angel! ]

Anyway, check out all the links and such in my seriously basic sidebar there (I know almost no html nor do I have an editing program at the moment... if you know of an easy, preferably cheap one, tell me!).
