WINDSURFING

The Wild Diamond Windsurfing Centre is based inland at the North end of Loch Bhasapol and is easy to find. Wherever you are on the Island simply follow the signs for Cornaig or ask for the High school and you will get there.

The centre is RYA LEVEL 5 recognised and has the all the latest equipment for any level of Windsurfer. If you are learning they provide all the equipment from wetsuit to the windsurfer itself.

For the more experienced windsurfer they have a mobile school (a huge trailer) for getting your kit to the right beach without derigging.

VAUL GOLF COURSE

Vaul Golf Course is situated two miles from Scarinish and a half mile from the Lodge Hotel. The course which has nine holes, offers superb views regardless of where you are on the course.

Daily, weekly and fortnightly tickets are available with prices in the region of £5.00 per day and £20.00 per week. This represents great value and offers you some fantastic scenery while wandering around the course.

PONY TREKKING

For those who don't fancy seeing the Island by car of by foot, pony trekking could be the answer. Experience the breathtaking scenery and idyllic settings that Tiree has to offer.

HILL WALKING

Despite the Island of Tiree being relatively flat, the two highest points on the Island are Ben Hynish at 462 feet and Beinn Hough at 390 feet. Both of these peaks will provide hill walkers and others with a way of spening a few enjoyable hours. Another advantage is the stunning scenery and in particular the Civil Aviation tracking station which sits on the top of Ben Hynish (below).

This is known by the people of Tiree as the 'Golfball' and is visible from almost anywhere on the island. The size of the 'Golfball' cannot be appreciated until you are at the top of Ben Hynish. It is a truly massive structure.
