Sorry
about the lack of updates in a long time but there has been very
little, if any, news regarding VO. I have now updated the previously
incomplete Screenshots,
Weapons,
and Characters
pages.

Bothtec is releasing
Macross
VOXP
on 4th July. It appears that VOXP is not a
true sequel to VO, but rather a refresh of the original
game.
Macross VOXP comes in a number of flavours:

Boxed Retail -- 7800 yen
Downloaded Version -- 3900 yen
Upgrade Version (requires Macross VO) -- 1800 yen
According to GameWatch
the only 2 additions the new title offers are Windows XP compatibility
and new units.
The installation of VOXP comes with 2 new units:
-- VF-1D
-- Lancer 2
You can then download 2 more units free of charge:
-- VF-1J Max Type
-- VF-1J Millia Type
Finally you can download another 2 units at 400 yen each:
-- Super Valkyrie Type D (VF-1DS)
-- QF-3000E Ghost
The article mentions that there will be no changes in the campaign
mode, graphics, game modes, etc.

Added v1.14 executable for those who have problems with the installer.

Controls section updated. [Controls]
Apparently the new patch has broken the yaw control for some people.
The plane will sometimes yaw to one direction and this seems to
affect people with certain analog controllers only. Let's hope
we'll get another patch soon.
On the other hand the new "Stage Select" mode is pretty
handy. Can someone confirm if you can get new weapons under this
mode?

v1.14 is now out! You can get it at Bothtec's download
page.
Here is the list of fixes:
Fixes an input drift problem when using an
analog controller.
Fixes problem when using automatic analog/digital mode, game does
not switch to analog mode correctly.
During network play, the connected players are often named "Unknown".
This is fixed.
Fixes problem with illegal errors which sometimes happen when the
game is ended halfway.
Fixes problem with illegal erros when trying to run the game without
a sound driver installed.
Corrects the problem where Mission 7 sometimes cannot be completed
You can now select "Lobby Room" from the menu at the end of a network
game.
"Stage Select" is added to Campaign mode. It appears when you have
cleared "Hard" once or more, or cleared "Normal" twice or more.
