[...the conflict between W.O.R.D//&//I.M.A.G.E...] NATALIA

"Scott!" I called to him. He was supposed to meet me in the back hallway. He was sure taking his sweet time.

"Natalia, shut up! You're gonna wake them," He called back, stepping out of the darkness.

"Well, I'm sorry. Where do you want to go?" I asked.

"Come back to my hotel room, Clint stayed with Bob and Dave. I guess he was afraid of me because I threw a bottle at Bob last night," Scott said, opening the door back to the main hallway.

"You what?" I asked him. Not to my boy Bob. Couldn't hurt him.

"He said he wanted the bottle. So I gave it to him," Scott said. We went into his room and he turned on the lights. I sat down on his bed and he went through his bag for the alcohol.

"Ohh do you understand how kinky this looks? We're meeting under the cover of darkness, I'm giving you advice, you're getting me drunk. Ohh!" I said, staring at him as he gave me the bottle of vodka.

"Shut up, you're like a little sister to me. Don't think like that. Remember I just asked you here to find out what Kate thinks of me," Scott said, drinking straight from the bottle of rum.

"Right now? Or before you were a total asshole to Shane and her?" I smirked.

"Shut up Natalia," He said.

"I doubt that Shane gave you a reason to be so damn rude to him," I said. I liked that.

"Hey, I don't need any more speeches from you people. I was rambling on at the time, I didn't quite understand half the stuff I said. I really didn't mean to be so rude to him. Kate? That was intentional," He said, taking the vodka away from me.

"Ohh, ok. Well, fucking around with their relationship isn't exactly gonna make her come crawling back to you," I said. Scott just gave me a look.

"So what does she think of me? What did she say to you about me?" He asked. I'm not telling him, he doesn't want to hear the answer to that. I'm actually being tactfull for once.

"Um, Scott, you really don't want to know that," I said.

"Yes, I do. I can handle it. Please?" He gave me puppy dog eyes. God I hate him.

"Well, she's really really mad about what you said. She doesn't understand why you could be so unfeeling and not understand what happened over the year. She told me she doesn't think she can forgive you," I said, solemnly. Scott looked down and took another swig from the bottle.

"I'm sorry Scott. You should have thought about this before you turned into a rat bastard," I said, taking the bottle away from him and bringing it to my lips.

Scott looked incredibly hurt. Not by my insult, but by the fact that I was right.

"But I'm gonna tell you something, and you can't tell anyone else that I told you it. I was sworn to secrecy but you are my friend and you're hurting and you need this information. It's just gonna collect dust if I don't tell you," I told Scott. He looked up at me with a twinge of hope in his eyes.

I swallowed before telling him the truth. If this got out, Kate would kill me. "Ok, well. Do you know the real reason why Kate is dating Shane?" Scott shook his head.

"Oh, well she did say that she dated him because he was me but without the faults," Scott said, putting his hands over his face.

"Well, um, ok that could be one way to describe it," Scott threw a pillow at me. "Ok! Ok, well. She is dating him because the real thing isn't there. She doesn't love him. She barely likes him. She's just dating him because he has all the qualities that you have," I explained to him. He looked a bit more happy.

"Are you kidding me? Did she really say this to you?" He asked me.

"Well, parts of it. The other parts are incredibly obvious," I said, and it was true.

"Are you serious? That means I could still get her back!" Scott said, jumping up.

"Hold on there cowboy, I doubt she would be able to look you in the eye without wanting to punch it after your performance yesturday," I said, grabbing the back of his shirt to keep him from running to the door.

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that. Well, I'll just have to make it up to her," He said, sitting back down.

"Well, it's getting late, I think I'd better be getting back to the room. I'm the only one brave enough to stay with Kate," I said, standing up.

"No one was brave enough to stay with me," Scott said, furrowing his brow.

"Well that's because you like to throw things at people. You're dangerous," I said with a laugh.

"Haha. Very funny. I'll see you in the morning. Thanks for everything." He gave me a hug and I left the room. "Stay off the vodka a bit, ok?" I called through the door. I heard something hit the door. Ok then.

OLIVIA

"I'm going out with Clint today for a little while, ok?" I said, taking my bag and running towards the door as Kate came out from the bathroom.

"Hey hey hey, where do you think you are going, Liv?" She asked me. "Don't you dare talk to that asshole, you know his name, I'm not saying it." Kate said.

"I'm not, I'm just going to go see Clint. I'll see you later," I said. I ran down the hall to Clint and what's his face's room.

"Hey Clint, let's go," I said. Scott was sitting in the corner. He waved to me.

"I'm not supposed to talk to you," I said, pointing at him. He nodded his head.

"Ok, let's go," Clint took my hand and we walked quickly down the hall. We were going to Westminster Abbey.

We took the bus to the Abbey and were dropped off right in front. "Oh Clint," I began.

"I knew you would like it. I want to get married here someday," Clint said, staring at me.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" I wiped my face with my hand.

"No, no. Let's go in," Clint led me through the large wooden doors. Inside there were large stained glass windows. An altar was at the front of the church. We walked slowly down the aisle, observing everything around us. We walked to the altar and stopped in front of it like we were getting married.

"Would you?" Clint asked me. I must be blushing roses.

"Would you?" He asked me again.

"Of course," I smiled. He was so incredibly heart-meltingly sweet.

"May I kiss the bride?" Clint smiled widely. I nodded slowly. He moved in closer to me and lowered his lips to mine. Of all the places to kiss me, he has to do it in a church. How holy.

He deepened the kiss and put his hand behind my head. I hope nobody walks in on us. That would be a bit embarrassing.

I pulled away because I saw out of the corner of my eye more tourists. "Ahem, Clint. We should go somewhere else if we want to do this," I said to him. He nodded and grabbed my hand, leading me back down the isle.

Somebody throw rice.

SARA

"So she doesn't hate him. That's what I thought. Natalia doesn't seem like the kind to hate someone all of a sudden. That sounds like Kate," Bob said, taking a bite out of his chicken sandwich.

"Well, I've talked to her and she's upset because she thinks Dave hates her." I told him.

"Well that's what Dave thinks. He says that if Natalia were interested she would have done something by now," He said.

"Well, Natalia didn't do anything because she got the idea that Dave wasn't interested anymore. He didn't write her back or talk to her over the summer. And she says that she just got a vibe from him that he didn't care anymore," I said, spearing some of my salad. We were sitting in an outdoor café having lunch. We were trying to find out what to do about Nati and Dave.

"All I know is that he really misses her because he won't shut up about it. It's driving me crazy," Bob said. "They need to get back together so they can we can get on with our lives."

"Ok, we should try to fix them up or something. Get them to talk. They won't even talk to each other. That's a little odd," I said.

"Yeah, let's see. We can take them out to dinner tonight. Go get real English fish and chips," Bob said. Good idea.

"I know Natalia and she wouldn't just agree to meeting Dave. She has too much pride. Besides I hate fish," I told him.

"This isn't for you Sara. It's to get our two best friends back together and off our backs. Tonight. We will take them out to dinner. Just don't tell Nati where we are going. Or that Dave will be there."

"Ok. Fine. Let's go. We have to pick up Kate on our way back to the hotel. We should leave now," I said. Bob paid the bill and we started walking to where we were meeting Kate.

KATE

Where are those two? Ten dollars says they are still at the café eating lunch and they totally forgot about me. Some friends.

Oh, there they are. Well. They took long enough.

"Hey you guys. Ready to go?" I asked them. They nodded their heads and we got on the bus back to the hotel.

"Did you guys have a good time at lunch?" I asked them.

"Yeah it was good. I'll have to take you there. Really good food," Sara told me. I nodded my head. Sure. Ok.

The bus dropped us off in front of the hotel. A bad feeling rose in my throat. I don't know why, it just did.

"Are you ok Kate? You look a bit pale," Bob said. I nodded. I'm fine. Just a bit...tipsy.

We walked up the steps of the hotel and into the lobby. Standing there in plain sight of everyone was Shane. With some random slut. And they were making out.

"What the fuck is going on?" I screamed. Not that I cared or anything. I just had to act like I did.

"Kaithlyn! Wait!" He called after me. I raced passed him and up the stairs to my room. I went in and slammed the door.

"Goddamn it Kate! You scared the living shit out of me!" Natalia said. She got up and went into Liv's room.

Shane pounded on the door. "Kate let me in I need to talk to you."

"Fuck off Shane! Get the hell away from me!" I shouted at him through the door.

"Come on let me in I need to explain things to you," He said. I unlocked the door. And stood there waiting for him.

"Kate, I'm so sorry you had to see that. It's not what it looks like," He said.

"This isn't what it looks like either!" I screamed, chucking one of my black pumps at him. He ducked and I threw the other one at him.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean for it to happen...it just kind of did," He said, backing away slowly.

"Sure, right. She just kind of came up to you and her tongue just kind of HAPPENED to play hockey with yours!" I shouted.

"Please Kate, keep it down. I can't bare to lose you," He said.

"Well that's too bad. You lost me before you even had me. I broke up with the only guy that could truly make me happy, and I did it for you! I thought you could keep me happy while he was away! What the fuck was I thinking? No one can take the place of him!" I screamed. Was I saying this out loud? Oops.

"What? What are you talking about? You went out with me because I'm like Scott?" He screamed equally as loud.

"Well, yes," I admitted. Well that cat's out of the bag.

"I can't believe you!" He said, staring at me wide eyed.

"Why the hell did you think I stayed with you this long?" I asked him .

"You are incredible. You get mad at me and all along you fancy me just because you couldn't be with Scott," He said, smirking.

"Why the hell were you with me in the first place?" I asked. "We fucking hate each other."

"Simply, because you're touring and I'm not. I'm bloody wasting away in our hick town doing gigs at 50 bucks a pop and you're doing a world tour. How does it feel to be used Kate?" He asked me. I had no idea what to say to him. Yes I did, it just couldn't be said because it was too graphic.

"Get the fuck out of my room," I said, hurling a lamp at him. It hit him in the stomach and I dragged him to the door and kicked him outside. I saw Scott standing in the doorway.

"Can I help you?" He asked.

"Just stay away from me," I said with tears in my eyes as I saw Shane limp down the hallway.

"No," He said. What?

"I want to talk to you," He said.

"I can't deal with your shit right now Scott. I just need some time alone, I said, trying not to cry in front of him. I went back into my hotel room, Scott followed me and slammed the door shut.

"I'm sorry maybe I wasn't clear enough, get out!" I said, bursting into tears. He came over to me and hugged me. I didn't try to get away.

"I heard everything you said," Scott whispered in my ear. Oh fuck. Just what I needed.

"Did you mean it?" he asked me. Uh oh. Why do I always fuck things up?

"Um, well. Yes?" I managed to get out. I couldn't lie my way out of this one.

"Oh Kate. I'm so sorry about everything I've said. I was so incredibly rude to Shane. I'm sorry," He said, getting me a tissue.

"Don't feel sorry about Shane. He probably was a Streisand fan." I said, laughing.

"I was out of line to be so rude though. I should have respected you and Shane's relationship," He said. At least he admits it.

"You don't need to apologize. I shouldn't have led you on like that. I just missed you," I said, recovering from my trauma.

"The truth is I wouldn't have been so evil if I had known from the beginning your true feelings," He said, smoothing back my messed up hair.

"I'm sorry about this whole mess," I said. "But um, right now, I just need some time alone. Do you think you could go? I'll talk to you later tonight," I told him. I hope I wasn't hurting his feelings.

"Yeah. Ok. Bye Kate," He said. He walked towards the door and paused.

"What?" I asked.

He turned back around to me and kissed me passionately. "I've been wanting to do that since I saw you here, and now I can do it without hurting anyone's feelings."

He left the room and I fell back on my bed.
