The Taunton Area Vietnam Veterans Association is a non-profit organization. Based in Taunton Massachusetts, it was officially founded in January of 1983 by five Vietnam Veterans and one Korean Veteran. Many months prior to this date a great deal of time was spent on writing a list of purposes around which the group was built.The following is a list of the TAVVA's puposes and goals:
* To improve the conditions for Vietnam Veterans.
* To promote positive education for all on Vietnam and its Veterans.
* To assist the needs of our members and their families whenever possible.
* To provide Vietnam Veterans representation at area meetings and ceremonies when required or requested.
* To insure the continuing rememberance of our fallen brothers and sisters and those still listed as M.I.A.'s.
