Message to Satsangis on eve of Centenary Celebrations on December 27, 1998

In the Holy Samadh of PPPD Hazur Maharaj, PP Dadaji Maharaj delivered discourses to a large gathering of satsangis. He advocated spreading the message of Love (Prema Bhakti), outlined the lifestyle of a satsangi, and delineated the importance of the Guru of the time (Waqt Guru).

Message of Love
According to PP Dadaji Saheb, Bhakti Yog is most important; it must precede Surat-Shabd-Yog. True love and devotion for the Guru is crucial. It is only after a satsangi develops love for the Guru of the time (Waqt Guru), that the effective Abhyas (the exercise of Surat-Shabd-Yog) can be performed. PPPD Hazur Maharaj knew that it would be difficult, if not impossible, for human beings to internally concentrate on one focal point so He made generation of the love for the Guru the first step towards salvation. Only true love allows us to focus on one point. PP Dadaji Saheb says that one must first believe in the Sant Satguru as a guide through Dhyaan of PPPD Hazur Maharaj. It is after this that He will reveal that the Guru of the present and Hazur Maharaj are one.

Living Life as a Satsangi
The company of the persons that a Satsangi keeps has significant effect on his spiritual well-being. Worldly materialistic persons can sometimes be less harmful than those of a Satsangi's own family or so called persons who claim to be Satsangis. A Satsangi should catch the vibe of persons and assess their behaviour. The lifestyle of a Satsangi has been deliberated in detail by PPPD Hazur Maharaj and again by PP Dadaji Saheb in a separate article printed and circulated free of charge during this occasion.

Importance of the Guru of the Time
The Sant Satguru is Radhasoami Dayal. He should not be treated as a regular human being. The Guru is important to a Satsangi for one can ask Him questions and remove any confusions. PPPD Soamiji Maharaj, PPPD Hazur Maharaj, PPPD Lalaji Maharaj and PPPD Kunwarji Maharaj have had forms but they were and are Radhasoami Dayal. At the same time, however, Radhasoami Dayal is formless. Therefore, Radhasoami Dayal is formless, has a form and the Guru is that form.

Radhasoami Naam is Dhunyatmak. It leads one to the Satguru. Recognition is easily attained if one is told something by Him and accepts it. Realisation, however, is much more difficult than it seems. Realisation of Radhasoami Dayal requires total surrender and humility in the Holy Feet of Sant Satguru.

PP Dadaji Saheb also explained the three regions of this creation (rachna): Spiritual - Spiritual; Spiritual - Material; and Material - Spiritual and added that the driving force in the creation is always the Spirit Entity, known as the Surat and the Shabd, which is its source. Surat has natural attraction for Shabd. Similarly, the Shabd attracts the Surat. This natural attraction of Radhasoami Dayal for the Surat provides It to traverse back on the same wavelength as that of the Shabd. The company of Satguru is helpful in removing doubt and encouraging internal practice. External devotion to the Sant Satguru is more important than internal concentration. Therefore, one should visit and seek the company of Guru as often as possible. Sometimes, a Satsangi may find fault with the Satguru but in doing this is fault and flaw in his own love for Him, in his generation of love and in his total surrender. Therefore, total surrender in the Holy Feet of Sant Satguru of the time is important and a must, as explained by PP Dadaji Saheb.
