Shoto Kan Karate Kyokai

Shihan Nico Ayub. Initiated in the Shoto Kan Karate Do Art in Ensenada, Baja, in 1971 at 12 years old, his first contact with martial arts, at 7 yrs. old was the Judo discipline, and he has dedicated to the sport for a period of 38 years without interruption since then.

He has achieved the First DAN in March 27,1977, becoming one of the first students examinated and certificated by the Grand Master Kenneth Funakoshi, one of the sucessor of the modern Karate founder Gichin Funakoshi, upon of the years and escalating other degrees, until he gets 5th. DAN within same asoociation, actually is 6th. DAN in our Organization.

Since his early years, the young [ SHIHAN NICO ] felt attracted for the competion in sports, achieving several victorious international tournaments medals in states, such as California, Nevada and Arizona in USA., as well as those achieved in his own state in Baja California, México; later, in 1984 he starts his competitive career becoming one of the members of the official state team in Baja, representing Baja California, to the Black Belts National Championship, Adults, in Tamaulipas, México. At his participation in these national championships, like: Mexican Karate Federation [ FEMEKA ] he got his 12 medals between 1984 to 1993.

Attend to the XII World "Macabiah" in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1985, where gets the Bronce medal, in Kumite, as member of the team; He got selected by the Mexican Karate Federation to represent México at the X World Championship [ WUKO ] México 1990 .

Promoter for excellence of methods like Yoga, Relaxation, Meditation, Pranayama, among others systems disclosed by [ RED-GFU ] in which he participates from his adolescence to his formation like Shihan.

At his Instructor performing phase, he has helped others to become champs, this is the case of Cinthya Juvera Estrada, Sandra Nevarez Alarcón and Guillermo Acuña Uscanga; this last one represented México in several World Karate Federation championships [ WKF ] in Sidney Australia 1986 and El Cairo, Egipt in 1987.

As "Coach", he has conducted two times, the State Black Belt Team – Adults, to National Championships with excellent results! . As President of the State Karate Assn., he has been recognized as a ‘International Liason’ among two countries, by the [ AAU – USA ] [Athletic Amateur Union] and Mexican Karate Federation, because his intense labor at the State Karate Association in Baja California.

He is Founder and First-President of the State Karate Association and Martial Arts and its related sports in Baja [ 1984 – 1988 ] after this his roll was really important as Technical Director and President of the Tournaments Commision in this organization. Founder & Technical Director at the Shoto Kan Karate Association in Baja California: Mexicali, Tijuana and Ensenada since 1978.

Shihan Ayub’s technical skills and studies : He has two different sources : his main one, comes from his mentor and friend : Master Kenneth Funakoshi, [ FSKA ] International Director. And from the seminars received at the [ JKA ] [Japan Karate Association].

However, Shihan Nico has been councious of the important recognition from the state authorities, and actually [Sept. 1999] he has been certified as one of the first Facilitators for " Capacitation and Certification System for Sports Trainers", from the [ SEP ] - Education Public Ministry, as well as similar organizations in México and internationally, getting his permanent Registration at the Mexican Karate Do Federation, and as Instructor and the equal degree recognition by the World Union Karate-Do Organization [ WUKO ], with the registration number 0315.

For Karate as one of the sports at the Olympics in 2012

Currently, Shihan Nico is dedicated to the education at his schools in Baja California, México; where he has his Organization's Main Dojo : "Shoto Kan Karate Kyokai". Producing yearly a Karate-Do tournament, which he has called INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT " FOR THE FRIENDSHIP ".

As Shihan, he is traveling in order to comply with courses , seminars, lectures, history, demonstrations, affiliations , certifications and examinations.
