What Does The Team Do? |
|---|
| The Raider Team is a physically demanding team that competes in three catagories; orienteering, raider, and physical fitness meets. Orienteering is a sport that combines map-reading and cross-country running. Members make their way through unfamiliar terrain using just a compass and a topographical map. The competition is judged on time complete as well as getting to the points in the correct order. Raider meets are competitions that involve events that are physical as well as mental. Physical fitness meets involve five catagories that members compete in. The events involve Pulls-Ups, Sit-Ups, V-Sit Reach, Shuttle-Run, and One Mile Run. The fitness competition is judged by how fast and how many you complete according to the Physical Fitness Average developed by the military. |
Reasons Members Joined |

| I wanted to push my body to its limit. I can make my lower body hurt. My upper body is weak and i feel that it needs to be improved. I plan on going into the Marine Corps. I need to improve this. The Raider team is also the most challenging team. C/SSG Alex Cabaday |
| My brother was on the team for about two years before I joined and he seemed happier as well as more fit. He started meeting new people. I wanted to join to meet new people because I just moved in with my brother this last summer. I also couldn't keep up with my brother when ever we played football or any other sport. Now not only can I keep up with him I could bring him down. So in short I joined the team to meet new people and stay physically fit. Elias Sandoval |
