I belong to a big family. My family is composed of my father, my mother, me and my siblings. I am the eldest in a brood of six. I only have one younger brother but I have four younger sisters. I will introduce to you our family members one by one. My father is Patricio, 56 years old and he is a businessman. He was named after St. Patrick of Ireland, as he was born on St. Patrick's feast day. He takes charge of his own billiard hall and does some billiard repairs. As such, my father is very good in billiards. My mother is Melania, meaning dark skinned, and is a 49-year old housewife. My mother is good at cooking. Having no knowledge on how to cook when I first came to Japan, I used to talk to my mother through telephone, and asked her to teach me how to cook. It was in their old company where my parents got to know each other. They got married after a few years, and it built a home in Bulacan province, my mother's birthplace. After they had left the company, my father started his billiard business. During my elementary days, my father used to teach me English and mathematics, my mother took care of my other subjects. My father went with me whenever I wanted to go somewhere in the city especially when I didn't know the way, and from my mother I learned the habit of going to the church. During the university entrance exams and enrolment procedures, my father always assisted me. When I started to work, my mother prepared my lunch box every day. Hence, when I came to Japan, what I missed the most is my mother's dishes. The next sibling to me is Pamela, 20 years old. Her major is management and I heard from her that she already graduated from university this year, and is now looking for a job. She showed me some of their photographs during the graduation ceremonies last April. I felt that I missing them. It seems that Pamela likes to cook also. To tell the truth, Pamela is the one who was cooking when our mother was busy. Next to her is my younger brother Patrick. He is 19 years old, and is studying IT at the university. After all, it is because of his interest in computers. To tell the truth, Patrick is now taking care of my computer of me left at home. The second younger sister is Carmina and she is 15 years old. When she was still a child she used to cry so easily. She just entered university this year, and she chose to study accountancy. Patrick's birthday is on the 29th of April, while Carmina's is on the 28th, although they are three years apart. Quite interesting, isn't it? Next is Melissa whose name means honeybee. She turned 14 years old last April. She is still attending junior high school. Melissa was asked by a friend as to whom she wanted to meet the most and she replied that she it was me. When I heard that, I felt so happy. The youngest is Angelica and her names means "like an angel". She is a very lovely nine-year old girl, and is in fourth grade in the elementary school. Last time I received a letter from her and I was so glad. As we were siblings we used to eat, study, play together, fight and bully each. However, as time goes by, we feel filial love towards one another and to our parents. Moreover, as I am planning to go back to the Philippines this coming September, I am looking forward since I will be able to meet again.
