2002 WS-6 TransAm

UPDATE: BMR Throttle Body Water bypass and airbox mod. (11-15-2009)

SLP Airbox Lid Installed! (4-4-2004)

We got the WS-6 in May, 2003. The WS-6 is well known for it's Ram-Air induction. The WS-6 option
includes Ram-Air, upgraded suspension, performance exhaust and polished aluminum wheels wrapped in
GoodYear Eagle F1 rubber. The stock LS1 5.7L V8 provides approx. 330hp and approx. 340lb/ft of torque.

Below is a picture of the aluminum LS-1.

Future upgrades to our T/A will be limited to an SLP Performance Airbox lid and smooth bellow for a claimed
estimate of 10 (lid) and 6 (bellow) additional horsepower. A K&N airfilter and perhaps Borlas Cat-back exhaust
will round out the upgrades. After all, the car has plenty of street worthy power available from the factory.

-- January 2004 --

EDIT: As you read on and check out the other pages, you will see that I didn't limit the upgrades as originally planned.

2005: A K&N filter was installed along with an SLP Loudmouth2 Y-pipe and exhaust.
Oct. 2006: Sam Strano coil springs and KYB adjustable shocks replaced the OEM springs while a UMI adjustable panhard bar replaces the original.
Nov. 2009: BMR Throttle Bocy Water Bypass kit was installed, the stock lower airbox was modified and the baffles inside the WS-6 hood were removed.
