Spells

Many of you may have had problems finding spells and there is a reason for it. Please read on to find out what you can do. You must teach yourself to have the most power.

It is my opinion that spells are cast as reminders and guides to things we need to accomplish. I don't believe spells bring direct results, based solely on the act of the spell. There is much more involved. You must believe in what you are doing and carry out the spells to its full term. To me spells are like prayers, cast to help me so that I may help myself. Remember that the magick involved comes from with in you, not from the spell. To have someone cast a spell for you, in my opinion is pointless for those reasons.

I also never cast spells for material gain or for any negative purposes. It is my religion to remain spiritual within myself and my spells as well as rituals. These are spells to help me get through life and maintain a healthy attitude. It is apart of the religion (many of you refer to the religion as the "craft") to particapate, which means to create. Somethings can not be handed to you or bought. Spells are one of those things and this is why many elders will not post spells or give spells away. You have to learn to create your own, for it is apart of being a pagan. The spells on my page are for use, but most importantly, they are examples of what you can create. I write a specific kind of spells and others have different kinds. I also work from a variety of stones, herbs and oils that are available and inexpensive. These items can be substituted from the items listed on theEssentialspage. Find an item with similar properties to what the spell calls for. Sometimes stones can be hard to find or expensive. Do your best to substitute and if you have to go to the backyard and find a stone similar in color, it will have to do.

As for those of you seeking spells and are having problems finding exactly what you need, I'll tell you what to do. (This is what I do.) I go to the Essentials page and find the materials that I need. For example: If I'm writting a spell for depression, I'd look at the stones and find one that has power to relieve depression, like Cat's eye. Same goes with herbs, candle colors or oils, whatever you want to use. Deside what order you'd like to use your essentials and how (ex: oils dabbed on self, or belonging) and find something to say or something to do to help your spell be more effective. Example: depression, say something like: "Today is the day that I will shed by saddness and come alive again to shine with my father sun and glow with my sister moon. I will be solid and become one with my mother earth and grow each day." If you're not a poet, it doesn't matter, say what ever makes you feel better. You could use a poem that you like or maybe doing is more your thing, rather than saying. Sit in front of your candle (red for depression, lacking vitality) and push your hands away from your chest, to push out the depression from your body. What ever you want. Remember it's not the spell that contains the magick, it's inside you. Review Performing Basic Magick and/or Knowing Basic Magick if needed.
