Holly Molly My Wife Got A BIG Deer

My name is Tony, and I have been hunting whitetail deer for 25 years. And I have taken some big bucks in my life. One morning my wife wanted to go hunting with me. So we got up early, it was pretty chilly that morning. We got to our stand early so we wouldn't scare any deer going in.

She got in the stand while I put my scent bombs out. Then I got in the stand. Everything was set, so all we had to do was wait, and see if anything would come by our stand.

Well I started grunting about 7:00 A.M.. It wasn't no time until we saw some does coming our way. They came 20 yards from our stand, and stood there for about 15 or 20 minutes, I guess. Then they walked off.

I looked around and saw a buck coming, it was a nice 8 pointer. She wanted to shoot it, but I said no because down the trail I saw another one coming. And it looked bigger. She kinda got mad at me. But when she saw what was coming she forgot about being mad.

And said Holly Molly what a buck!! It was the biggest buck she had ever seen. The closer it got the more nervous she got. It tore her up but she couldn't wait to shoot. But I told her to wait just for a little bit longer. It got about 20 yards from us, then I told her when it turns broadside shoot. Well the buck stood around for a few minutes smelling the bombs I put out.

But as soon as it turned sideways I told her to shoot. As soon as I said that "BOOM" ! I jumped because I wasn't expecting it that soon but she was.

We got down and walked over to where it layed down. Man, that was a big 12 point buck ! Bigger than I ever saw. We both jumped for joy. I said honey you just got yourself a trophy, and it was.

Now my wife wants to hunts with me and I'm glad to have her. She brings me good-luck. I am sure glad I got her to hunt with me.
