A Big Surprise!!!

I couldn't hardly wait until 4:00 A.M. to come. So I could get out of bed, and get ready to go to the woods and get in my deer stand.

I knew it was going to be a great day to hunt. Every animal in the woods was running everywhere.

I hadn't been in my stand long, when I heard some dogs barking down the hollow from me.

Well me, I thought the dogs was running some deer. So I got ready in case they was running real fast.

Man, let me tell you I got the biggest surprise of my life.

It was the biggest 'BLACK BEAR' that I had ever seen. And it was coming up the trail right in under my deer stand. The dogs were right behind the big bear. You talking about somebody being scared, I sure was!

It ran around my stand several times, but it never did see me. I was sure glad he didn't.

It finally ran over the hill and climbed a big tree. Finally the dogs got tired or something and left.

The bear finally left. I didn't get a deer that day. But I sure had fun watching that big black bear. The next time I go hunting, I'm going to take a video camera so I can tape things like that. I sure hope I can see it again. That would be fun, even if it does scare me somewhat!
