Friday September 22rd

Several games were suspended in progress tonight as a result of lightning in the area.  Rescheduling proved to be difficult as a result of torrential rainfall and severe flooding in some areas.

Lexington Catholic 45   Harrison County  23   (game concluded Sunday)
Ben Revere scored on a 73 yard kickoff return and a 62 yard punt return to lead the Kinghts to victory.  For a complete write-up of this game, click [here].
 
Lafayette  31   Woodford County 27   (game concluded Monday)
Lafayette erased a 27-14 deficit to defeat Woodford County and remain undefeated.  Demetrius Mitchell scored the winning TD on an 88 yard punt return.  For a complete write-up of this game, click [here].
 
Tates Creek  17   Paul Dunbar 14   (OT)  (game concluded Monday)
Tates Creek rallied from a 14-0 deficit to defeat Dunbar on a 28 yard field goal by Brian Williams in overtime.  For a complete write-up of this game, click [here].
 
Henry Clay 42   Bryan Station  0
Chase Minnifield scored on a punt return, caught two TD passes, and threw a TD pass to lead Henry Clay to victory in a game called in the third quarter.
 
Lexington Christian Academy  33   Bath County  8
Dominique Hayden ran for three touchdowns to lead LCA to their fourth consecutive victory.
 
Madison Central 30    Whitley County 28  
Ryan Blake kicked a field goal with nine seconds remaining on the clock to give Madison Central the victory.
 
Johnson Central  63   Boyd County  12
Shawn Grimm led the Eagles with 226 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries.
 
Trinity  10   St. Xavier 0
This game was cancelled with 1:16 left in the first quarter.
 
Russell 55   Powell  0
Russell RB Kasey Clark ran for four TDs and caught a TD pass to lead Russell to victory.
 
Monroe County 43   Edmonson County  20
Seth Graves ran for 460 yards and five touchdowns to lead Monroe County to victory.
 
Lincoln County 56    South Laurel 7  
The Patriots ran for 508 yards to crush South Laurel tonight.  Braxton Miller gained 258 yards and four TDs on 20 carries while Trent Calhoun ran for 174 yards and four TDs.
 
Scott County 48   Wayne County  6
Scott County raced out to a 41-0 halftime lead in a 48-6 victory over Wayne County.
 
Franklin County 34    Anderson County 0  
Franklin County QB Kaelin Ammons threw for two TDs and ran for TDs of 50, 39, and 5 yards in a game called at halftime.
