Harrison County (2-2) vs. Lexington Catholic (2-1) September 22 and 24, 2006

Jimmy Mullins has led the Thorobreds' ground game with 249 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries.  Lucas Wells has carried the ball 46 times for 220 yards and two touchdowns.  QB Van Isaac has completed 59 passes for 394 yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions.  The Thorobreds have played Lexington Catholic tough the last two years, dropping 39-37 and 29-28 decisions.

Lexington Catholic QB Tyler Hancock has passed for over 800 yards and has some fine targets including Wes Caldwell and Ben RevereShane Israel has led the ground game and the Knights have utilized big play capabilities on their special teams.

Lexington Catholic eventually defeated Harrison County 45-23 in a game that was postponed due to lightning with Lexington Catholic leading 45-7 with 1:13 remaining in the third quarter.  It was decided that the game could not be safely resumed and was finished on Sunday afternoon.

Ben Revere got some big plays on special teams for the Knights as he scored on a 73 yard kickoff return and a 62 yard punt return.  Shane Israel also scored three touchdowns for the game.  Van Isaac had three TD passes for Harrison County with two coming after the game resumed on Sunday.

Lexington Catholic recorded 15 first downs and 279 yards of total offense.  The Knights lost two fumbles, had two passes intercepted, and were penalized three times for 20 yards.  Harrison County had 14 first downs and 276 yards of total offense.  They lost two fumbles and were penalized five times for 36 yards. 

Shane Israel led the Lexington Catholic gound game with 109 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.  Israel also caught three passes for 21 yards and a touchdown.  Tyler Hancock completed nine of 17 passes for 128 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.  Nick Vicini led the Knight defense with 10 solo and one assisted tackles, including two sacks for losses totalling 14 yards.

Lucas Wells led Harrison County's ground game with 53 yards on 13 carries.  Van Isaac completed nine of 27 passes for 166 yards with three touchdowns.  Jim Mullins caught four passes for 59 yards with a touchdown.  Mike Brown led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Bryant Warmouth recorded five solo tackles, intercepted two passes, and blocked a field goal attempt.
