get all dressed up and celebrate the

Tour 9/16/2000 Unless some other shows pop-up quickly, the SPJs will wrap up the 2000 Monkey Tour Friday, September 29 at Fin's Waldo Bar in Kansas City, Missouri. Lead singer Patrick Dors will soon be taking maternity leave, so the band is looking at an extended lay-off. The rest of the band will take the time to "start getting damn serious" about recording. The September 29 show
at Waldo should be a good one as Mustard Couch will join in on the fun. It's a
nice little Sideshow Freaks 9/16/2000 Although the September
29 Waldo show is most likely the last official public
show for 2000, the SPJs are doing at least one
semi-private party and are rumored to be considering
another one. They have already committed to the
Hootenanny on September 30 in Brookside, Missouri.
Cowboy Part 2 (photo--?????????) Boot Hill Benefit 7/25/2000 This one just came up
today, but the Pajamas are in for a benefit at the Grand
Emporium on Thursday, August 3rd. A Little Break 6/3/00 It was a small crowd, but the band was real pleased with Gee 2000 as a venue. It's a big place with a nice stage and a great sound system. The SPJ performace was a little loose, but things held together pretty well. The fans that were there were very attentive and seemed to enjoy "SuperPunk" which is really starting to sound good for the band. The other new song, "Purple," is still taking shape. The SPJs are now taking a little time off before preparing for the July 8 show at the Waldo Bar and Grill with Cross Country Felons. A few members of the band will be working on some recording to improve on the current "SuperPunk" demo that we've been handing out. If you'd like a copy of the demo, e-mail us at spookycd@spookypajamas.com for information. Otherwise, we will have some free copies to hand out at the July 8 show. Ready for Gee 5/24/00 After playing three long shows in the last two months, the Pajamas are excited to do a shorter set this Friday at Gee 2000 in Olathe. The venue is an all-ages bar with no alcohol, so the band will get a chance to experience a much younger crowd. It should be interesting. The SPJs are the first of four bands and are scheduled to go on at 8:00 p.m. Other interesting facts: 1) This is the Pajamas' 10th show overall. 2) It will be only the third time the Pajamas have actually played on a stage. 3) After slaughtering "Purple (Detox the World)" at the last Waldo show, this will be the first official performance of the band's newest original. 4) Both SuperPunk and Superfriends will also be in the 45-minute short set. 5) The other bands will be Trench, Stewart and Powerglide. 6) Gee is located at 301 E. Santa Fe in Olathe, 913-779-7382. Return to Waldo IV 4/29/00 After making a trip down to Laurie, Missouri to play at Millstone Lodge the Pajamas will once again return to the Waldo Bar & Grill on Saturday, May 6. Joining the SPJ's will be Spongebath from Omaha. The band will be in full pajama gear, and we are encouraging all fans and friends to throw on their favorite PJ's and come on out for some beer and "lite punk." The Millstone show went well despite some PA problems that cut the first half of the set short. Dors did some serious mattress diving and jumps, but he did fail to deliver on the promised jump into the lake at the end of the show. New Logo and Site Update 4/1/00 If you're reading this, then you've already seen the new logo that was designed by Adam Novak for the band. It was definitely time for something more professional for the band. The band is extremely grateful, and we'll be working on that T-shirt that Adam requested. Anyway, you've probably also noticed the new look of the first few pages. I hope you like it because our webmaster will be working hard to redesign all of the pages on the site over the next month. Other than that, there is no official news to report. The booking department has been working hard though, and I'm sure we'll have a few new shows to announce soon. Superpunk Forever! |
