the fragrance of flowers beneath my heels
heart thrumming with the thunder
pulse quickening as the lightening streaks
years falling for the memories
tears falling for the dreams
a song carried on the wind
is it he whose voice i hear
i lift my face to the sky
spirit calling to spirit
eyes closed
listening
singing
hoping
so often i have placed my foot
to suddenly feel me falling

had i just but looked i would have seen
the cliffs of the sea
how i wish instead of plummeting
to be able to fly
to fly where the seagulls cry
to weave my song
heard only by whome i was destined for
my knight
dost thou truly exist
