| Envision
2005 is a centralized inventory and accounting system designed
for dispersed environment located at multiple cities, multiple
countries or even multi-company environment.
THE
HISTORY
Envision was first born in 2001 to handle business inventory needs.
It was first developed using MS Access XP and Visual basic 6.
As time goes by, the growing business client demands for more
users. Envision suffered from the growth in number of users
which then demands a system redesign.
Envision 2 came to being in year 2002, which takes the
computing power of a giant database server- SQL server 2000. Several
business rules have been ported to the server as stored procedures
for centralized processing. It front-end processing was
enhanced by using MS-Excell COM. automation and VBA.
Envision 2004 or Envision Enhanced came out to
resolve several more issues with scalability, this time it is not
only the number of users increases but also the number of business
sites and deployment. Accessing old inventory records using
the new version also posted an issue. Envision 2004 address
this issue by partitioning its data by year and by site. Which
then also allowed version 2004 to ship its own training server.
Speed and efficiency was then raised by the slow performance of VBA
for Excell on millions of records. Envision 2004
maximizes the use of XML with VBA to provide its report on millions
of records in matters of seconds.
Envision 2005 or Envision Revenge shall have three
different version.
Envision 2005 Web edition which
shall operate on the web, Envision 2005 desktop edition which
shall operate powerful desktop computers and Envision 2005 mobile
edition which shall operate on mobile devices such as cell
phones and palm.
Envision 2005 shall answer several issues. Among these are :
the need to go to web, the need for business collaboration with the
clients and the need to enhance the business accounting system and
the need for enhanced business intelligent solution. Envision 2005
will maximize the use of XML web services and business accelerator
tools of Excell 2003
The future version of Envision shall operate on
different platforms and shall be called Envision Acumen |
