A Seatrouts Year - Summer
Summer

Summer is my favourite season for seatrout fishing in Denmark and that's probably because of the quality of the trouts. There is no other time of the year where the seatrouts fight better or taste better. Summer trouts are not easy, because a lot of them are beginning to think more on spawning than feeding, but they are worth every minut you used when you finally have one on the hook. That doesn't mean they are impossible, but sometimes you will see the trout is just following without taking.
During the danish summer the water near the beach is getting warmer and warmer and that's not the best for the seetrout which ideal temperature is around 12 degrees, but during the night the temperature is going down and the seatrouts that have been spending the day in deeper water come nearer to eat all the small shrimps and small fish in the shallows. That's the moment where you have a real chance for getting in contact with this beatifull fish, the summer trout.
