Your topic is General Selling Tips/techniques for the professional sales individual
In class you learned about the whole "selling" process. There are many things a person should be aware of to enhance her career in sales in addition to following the steps of a sales presentation. Some examples are developing good listening skills and telephoning techniques, the use of customers names, being a problem solver, consulting instead of selling, concentrating on the customer not the product, etc. Using the sites on the References and Resources page search out tips/techniques that you can pass on to the class. While all the sites have good information, I especially recommend Marketing Magic, Sales Vault, Office of Women's Business Ownership, Justin Tyme, The Dallas Business Journal, and Sales Links.
Divide up the sites among your group's members. Look for information about General Selling Tips. If you have any questions as you search, please ask me! Also share information you are gathering with Group 7 so that you don't overlap.
Each group member should bring the information they gathered back to the group. From the information, you, as a group, should prepare a lesson about General Selling Tips/techniques. Make the lesson interesting - by the use of a visual (poster, skit, video, film clip, Power Point Slide Show, etc.) or by other creative means to encourage audience interest and participation (games, party, music) to convey the information. Your topic will be especially interesting to the class. Prior to your presentation, your group must give me an informal outline of your presentation so I can assist in smoothing out the rough spots and to make sure you are fully covering your topic.
