It has been a month since I've taken over the helm at Price Elementary. I find it challenging and rewarding to be in charge of the day to day operation of the school in the absence of Mr. H.Joseph Dobrowolski. Particularly challenging is the safety and instructional requirements of our students, shortage of staff and the 32-hour work week for our non-instructional staff. I am, however, grateful for the Parental involvement and support that you have demonstrated throughout the school year. We continue to ask for your support so that we can end school year 2002-2003 on a high note.

IRA THANK PARENTS FOR THE WONDERFUL SUPPORT!

I want to thank the parents for suppporting the IRA Read-a-thon. It is quite surprising that a medium size school like Price Elementary can collect over $9,000. dollars for Read-a-thon. This can only be made possible through the support of our hardworking and caring parents, said Mrs. Limtiaco, IRA School Representative for Price Elementary School. It is also a testament that parents support the school's Reading Program and concurrently promote the advancement of reading in the home front. A total of 197 students participated in this year's Read-a-thon.

Price Elementary IRA Read-a-thon top honors goes to:
1st Place - Aysha Pereira, 5th grade - Rm E9
2nd Place - La Yeav Ngemeas, Kinder - Rm E8
3rd Place - Erin Benhart, 2nd grade - Rm C6B

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

We will begin taking registration May 15, and will continure to do so until further notice. We highly encourage that you register your child by June 15. This way your child is properly registered and will give the school administration a concrete idea of how many kindergarten teachers we will need. Please be reminded that Public Law 26-29 states that a child must be (5) years old on or before July 31, 2003, any child who does not meet this age requirement will not be eligible for kindergarten. There will no longer be any EARLY ENTRANCE.
