December 24th, 2004 - Joey

Our new guitarist Dave Salvatore is now officially on the site. Check out his bio page for info, and don't forget to check out his gear. Happy holidays everyone.

December 19th, 2004 - Joey

We've got more than a few good originals under out belt with Mike on vocals and Dave on guitar, and we've been working on a new one for 2 weekends now. It's taking really long but hopefully we'll make it through it. It's sounding pretty good thus far and Nat's coming by tomorrow to (hopefully) finish up the structure and guitar/bass/keyboard parts. Next week or so we should be recording the originals and putting them up here. It's about time, too. See ya next week.

December 6th, 2004 - Joey

School is just about over, minus a few days and a few exams. On a bright note, Mike is on break for a while and is once again practicing with us. This weekend was a great practice and we got the wheels rolling. We're slowly bringing originals back with Mike on vocals, and Dave is filling in the guitarist spot quite nicely. God Called in Sick Today by AFI is our most potent cover at the moment, and it sounds just great at this point. We're probably gonna end it there and finally make a bunch of originals. This winter should be fruitful for the band and its members. It's a good chance to relax and make some music.

November 10th, 2004 - Nat

Well we have all been busy like most of you others out there. School takes up a lot of time but we have still managed to keep up weekly band practices. Even though Mike has been unable to attend practice recently because of university work, we have had to comprimise by find other ways of going on. We have also had some other guitarists over to jam and stuff. Overall, not too much serious work and we are lying pretty low, but we have not slowed our pace of creativity. We have made some new originals and there will always be more. Music is a part of our lives and we love to play. Keep checking this page.

September 19th, 2004 - Joey

As we head into fall and school kicks into high gear we're finding less time to work on the band. However, work is definitely being done, songs are being written and polished, and the band continues to move forward, albeit at a slower pace than usual. A CD isn't expected for a while, but hopefully this winter we can get to the studio and produce something we can be proud of.

September 5th, 2004 - Joey

Just got back from a pretty good practice, with lots of jamming and covers. I wrote some lyrics to the newest song and it should do fine with a bit of work.

September 4th, 2004 - Joey

A new song was born thanks to Nat and we worked pretty hard on getting it organized into a full song. Some finishing touches need to be added, as well as lyrics, but it's a good start. This Sunday we'll get some more stuff done and we should wrap up the current batch of songs as soon as possible. A demo is definitely in the works, but we need to make sure we have good material first.

August 8th, 2004 - Rob

Bye.

August 6th, 2004 - ZA

So how do we start this... So basically, after much deliberation, Zealous Apathy has parted ways with Robert. For now we're without a vocalist but Mike has proven to be more than adequate for the job and we all feel that this move is positive for our band. Rob left on good terms and we're hoping that this decision works out for the best.

July 31st, 2004 - Joey

Hey. Here we are kicking off 3 weeks of non-practice, because Mike couldn't make it today and Marco's going to Edmonton for 2 weeks. However we might jam a little next Saturday just to get some work done on new songs. I'm also currently working on a new layout for the site which is much more original and overall nicer looking than this one. However, it's not an easy process and I'm doing the best I can trying to finish it off. Many pages are done, but the hardest ones to make are yet to come. Hopefully I will be finished with it shortly and put it up.

July 27th, 2004 - Rob

I'm right here Joe(refers to a few posts down). We had band practice together as a band for the first time in months, and we got some work done. Did some discussing, talked about some things, and jammed. Things seem to be getting into motion once again, we'll keep you posted.

July 19th, 2004 - Joey

Lots of pics added just about everywhere. Check out the various pics pages for all of them.

July 17th, 2004 - Joey

Another good practice today, working a little on the new song and working on an older song we recorded a while ago. We're looking to revamp the lyrics and some keyboard parts, among others. We also jammed a bit and brought back the Rage songs we know and played them for old times' sake.

July 13th, 2004 - Joey

This weekend's practice was great, as we nearly completed a brand new song. Lyrics are to come, and we're planning to add a solo near the end. However we recorded a rough version of it and it sounds pretty cool. Hopefully we can wrap that one up next weekend and maybe get going on another new one.

July 3rd, 2004 - Joey

Hey, we just had a little band practice, but things still haven't returned to normal. However we listened to some of our oldest recordings, and some originals were pretty good. We can probably polish up a few of them and actually use them. Some of the stuff we played was really amazing, it was mostly improv and some parts just sounded great. Thinking of the stuff we played really inspires me, and I'm really optimistic about the months to come.

June 27th, 2004 - Marco

Well Joe, Nat and myself had our grad on the 25th so no practice this week. Kinda dead from the drinking especially Nat...Robert's nowhere to found and Mike's working. Hopefully practice will resume next week and we can move on with some band issues. New pictures will be added to the site within a couple of days, be sure to go check them out.

June 16th, 2004 - Joey

Hey. Been a while since I updated, but there isn't much of anything to update on. Practices have been few and far between lately. Mike and Rob have been busy working and the rest of us have our last exam tomorrow. Hopefully things will start to pick up afterwards. See ya.

May 22nd, 2004 - Joey

Hey. Practice today was fun, and we're getting the wheels rolling again, looking forward to some good music making this summer. Not much to update on the situation, no new shows coming up. At this point it looks like we're gonna spend a lot of time writing and playing music. See ya.

May 1st, 2004 - Joey

Hey there. First band practice in a while, and it was only Nat, Marco, and I. We just played around and took turns singing and stuff. Next week all should return to normal, and that's promising.

April 10th, 2004 - Joey

ZA South Park style

April 7th, 2004 - Rob

Sup.. I'm here at Champlain... AND IM GONNA KICK MIKE'S ASS! Wow he's really annoying me hehe. Well here's my thoughts on the Club Soda show... GOD WE ROCKED AND I LOVED PERFORMING IN FRONT OF ALL THOSE PEOPLE! Hopefully we will perform again soon. There's been talk of another concert with Undefined on May 8th, but we're not sure if we're gonna go through with it, all depends on how man originals we happen to create by then. I just fnished writing some new lyrics, I call it, (deep booming echoed voice) ASTRAL NIGHTS! Gday.

April 3rd, 2004 - ZA

Hey, we're here at Joey's house. We just got back from the show at Club Soda. IT ROCKED!!! WE ROCKED!!! THE CROWD ROCKED!!! The mosh pit for Sleep Now in the Fire was great, also for YYZ and Frontline, the crowd was really into it. The band before us, called Now and Forever, was good. Thanks to everyone who showed up, including those who didn't even get to see us (long story guys).

Pics from the show are already up right here! Check em out. More definitely on the way.

March 31st, 2004 - Nat

Hello. It's been a long time since I updated, (it's been a long time since I rock and rolled...HAHA). Anyhow, variety show was fun, except for the first show when I tripped over a WIRE and unplugged my KEYBOARD!!!!!! Ah man, I missed the cue to start so I just picked up later....horrible! The show at Club Soda should be fun, and even though we probably won't win, the experience will be good for us, definitely! We play at 6:40 on Saturday, April 3!!!!! It's gonna be great! We'll be there, our friends will be there, and I hope you people out there (Vancouver, Tokyo or even Australia) will come too. See ya!

March 26th, 2004 - Joey

Ahh, finally back. Our second set was much better than the first. We're all very happy with that performance, especially YYZ. That song really blew everyone away. The equipment is all gone and of course we had to move everything, so we're exhausted. Funny how the big show is this Saturday at Club Soda so this is so insignificant right now. It just keeps on rolling with practice tomorrow afternoon. Thank you to everyone who came to the Variety Show and everyone who organized. Very successful show indeed.

March 26th, 2004 - ZA

Hey. We're here with Chris De Marco and Amanda Vitale, at the VMC Variety Show. We just finished our first set and it was pretty good. Apart from a few technical difficulties, all went as planned and it was a success. We'll play a second set tonight around 9:00, hope to see ya there. PS. RUN!

March 14th, 2004 - Joey

Hey there. Nat and I went to the meeting at Club Soda concerning the show we'll be playing April 3rd. So far, so good. It's gonna be a lot of fun. Our setlist is slowly forming and we're confirming more and more songs. Check out the shows page for more info about it.

March 4th, 2004 - Marco

Hey everyone, Nat and myself just got back from Europe and it was really fun. All i can say is that I'm really really tired. I slept a total of like 1.5 hours in the last 2 days but it was worth it. The weather wasn't that great in Italy because it rained the whole time. On the otherhand Greece was a lot nicer, it didn't rain once. Anyways back to practice this weekend. We're gonna finish working on all our songs for the 2 shows from now on so we got a lot to do.

March 2nd, 2004 - Joey

After a nice little practice consisting of Mike, Rob, and myself, it's back to the basics on Saturday. Marco and Nat are currently on a plane back from Greece and it's gonna be fun to all be together after some time split apart for various reasons. The shows are coming up, and you can expect us to rock out like never before. One month left!

February 22nd, 2004 - Joey

Well, as we head into March practice will kick into overdrive. We have the VMC Variety Show on the 26th, as well as the Club Soda show April 3rd.

February 13th, 2004 - Rob

We've formulated a setlist for the Club Soda show. We're pretty sure at this point that all the songs we chose we'll be able to play them fine and they'll all sound great. As far as originals go, we're gonna work and touch up on The Frontline and possibly play it at the show, but we'd have to remove one of the covers, but we aren't sure which yet. We'll post up more info on the show later on.

February 7th, 2004 - Joey

I got a phone call the other day about a show at Club Soda coming up in April. Needless to say, we're ecstatic about being able to participate in it, and I have confidence that it'll be a great show. It should take place April 3rd. More info to come.

January 29th, 2004 - Joey

New battle of the bands pics just in. Check them out. A couple of additions on the individual pics page. News from 2003 now has its own page. See ya.

January 28th, 2004 - Joey

Hey there. Took long enough, but many battle of the bands pics have been finally added to the site. Most of these pics are located on the live pics page and a couple are located on the group pics page. Not the best quality, but at least it captured the show in some way. If only we had a decent recording of it...

January 23rd, 2004 - Joey

Hey. Nat's here. Tomorrow's practice has been cancelled due to numerous reasons, but it should just be a minor setback. Mike and Rob now work together on songs every wednesday and thus we can get more work done over the week. And so, we look forward to practice in 8 days.

January 10th, 2004 - Nat

Hello. So back from the holidays (happy new years by the way) and everything has changed, actually not really, in fact nothing at all, what am I talkin ABOUT!!!!! Anyway, got a pretty cheap (money wise) guitar (Slammer from Hamer). I guess it's pretty good, it almost looks like a Les Paul and that's a really nice guitar. I gotta guitar mainly for the purpose of learning music from a different perspective, i'm hoping it will help me create stuff in the good ol furnace room. We have been practicing every week lately and it's great. It's really something to look forward to during the week. Just last week we taped 2 new originals we've created and I guess they are pretty good, but I know we can do better. We just gotta keep on creating until we strike a clump of gold, then we develop. I've got dreams and ambitions for this band and we WILL SUCCEED. Anyhow, again wishing everybody a happy (music filled) new year and telling you to keep lookin out for us, ZEALOUS APATHY!!!

January 8th, 2004 - Rob

Hey. There's talk of some more covers being... covered. Possibly something else by The Doors, Peace Frog maybe. Also I'm aiming for a new original to be made, or at least started this weekend.

January 4th, 2004 - Joey

Happy new year everyone. 2003 was very good for all of us as individuals and as a band. Quite an improvement over ZA's 2002. Hopefully this trend will go on and this year will be even better.
