<6:24 AM> "There are only three or four legitimate topics of conversation. Everything else is just filler!"

That's what I said after my significant other exclaimed that we never talk anymore. Needless to say, that didn't go over too well and we didn't talk for the rest of the day.

Black Dog by Led Zeppelin

All I ask for when I pray, steady rollin' woman gonna come my way.
Need a woman gonna hold my hand, won't tell me no lies, make me a happy man.

<7:56 AM> Hybrid television shows (programs that combine elements from two or more shows) seem to be in right now. Of course, there is the struggling XFL, which combines elements of pro wresting with pro football. There is the British game show, The Weakest Link, which is a cross between Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Survivor. I understand that The Furniture Guys are also getting in on the act: I hear they are working on a show that combines elements from both cooking and do-it-yourself shows.

"Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who

No one bites back as hard
On their anger
None of my pain and woe
Can show through

<6:47 AM> I saw The Lion King last night. I rarely go to the theatre, the only other times were to see West Side Story and The Phantom of the Opera. It was a little long, but thoroughly enjoyable. The puppetry was amazing.

At The Hundredth Meridian by The Tragically Hip.

Left alone to get gigantic
Hard, huge, and haunted
A generation so much dumber than it's parents
Came crashing through the window

<5:56 AM> I'm looking forward to the new Robert De Niro movie, 15 Minutes, that's coming out this Friday.
I've always liked De Niro and I hope this movie does well.

Here's an interesting tidbit: While Robert De Niro is considered one the best dramatic actors of all time and has acted in numerous 'serious' movies, his top grossing movies have been the recent comedies Analyze This and Meet the Parents.

<4:57 PM> I've bowed to social pressures (my neighbors) and put up window coverings in my apartment. I thought living on the 11th floor of a high rise would spare me from having to shop, pay for and install any kind of window blind. I mean, I'm on the 11th floor, who can I bother or offend? Apparently, other tenants who live on the 11th floor beside me. You see, the way my building is shaped, my neighbors have a direct view inside my apartment.

Although, they never mentioned anything to me, I began getting a feeling that they were getting pissed or uncomfortable (maybe both) with my blindless-window arrangement. So, I caved and bought verticals!

What a pain in the ass putting them up was. I hope those bastards appreciate what I've done for them.

<4:41 PM> Maybe I should live out of my car! I already have a change of clothes in the trunk, countless remnants of half-eaten breakfasts and lunches strewn about, a third of my office flung about the backseat, and probably the better part of my life savings (in change) accumulating under the passanger seat.

<6:19 AM> The WWF meets Dawson's Creek!

From their website: "matrats.com" is an exciting new weekly one hour wrestling / music show for teenagers. Featuring the sons and daughters of 3rd and 4th generation wrestling superstars, as well as other gifted teenage athletes.

I read somewhere else that the storylines would be focused on teen-related issues.

Would anybody really watch this?

<6:10 AM> Song I woke up to this morning:
"Candy's Room" by Bruce Springsteen.

In Candy's room there are pictures of her heroes on the wall
but to get to Candy's room you gotta walk the darkness of Candy's hall
Strangers from the city call my baby's number and they bring her toys
When I come knocking she smiles pretty - she knows I wanna be Candy's boy
