The Ross Township Fire Service is located in Northwest Indiana and covers an area of approximately 38.5 square miles in the Town of Merrillville and unincorporated Ross Township. We protect approximately 35,000 residents. This area is split evenly between residential, commercial, light industrial and agricultural. We are an all volunteer organization comprised of four member departments and the main office. We have an ISO rating of 6 in town and 8 in the rural section.
