REUNION

This page contains details about our proposed Re-union in Manipal in the Year 2010 as well as a farewell poem written by Sonia Devdas, one of our batchmates

We've spent close to 5 years in Manipal with each other, but the time has come for us to part and go on our long journey to whatever Fate has in store for us. In future, while most of us will still maintain bonds of friendship that have been formed in Manipal, it might be difficult, No!let me say impossible, for all of us meet at one place. Like one of our friends said "To meet & part is the way of Life. To part & meet is the hope of Life!"

Keeping this in mind we are planning to organise a Re-union for our batch in about 10 years time i.e in 2010.It will most probably be held in either Manipal or Bangalore. We hope that all of you will find some time to spare for your friends from your busy(hopefully!) practices.

We would like to take your opinion as to when to hold our proposed Re-Union. So please spare a moment to vote in the poll below.

Here's a poem written by Sonia Devdas, one of our batchmates that's sort of a farewell song.

With a fiery gaze 'pon Hippocrates' land
We had pledged our dreams and made a stand
We would journey far,we would travel wide
With Nightingales' lamp close by our side.

From many roads around the world
We congregated;boy and girl
eyed one another warily
in the portals of KMC

Into Batch A & B,we were split
For so big a group now,"where to sit?"
The whole plan was well, rather nifty
For roll numbers one till twofifty.

Soon all our inhibitions flew
As roots of friendship formed and grew
T'was born too,'tween each tablemate
through cadavers,Anat. and hands of fate

Yessir,a boisterous class, we were
Some were nerds and some were 'd-uh'
For some,like me,life was a blast
I guess that's why we finished last!

Paper planes and table vandals,
T.C,bikes and Manipal scandals,
True, some Cupid hath struck his shot
Ah yes,we were a crazy lot.

Then came exams and its deadly game
And life was never quite the same
Yet,that point taught us till the end
To strengthen bonds of friend with friend.

We've had our tears,we've had our fun
And now that all is said and done
As someone thought, conversing loose,
"Friends are families that we choose."

Thus friends,I bid you all farewell
Where we may go heck, who can tell
But this I'll say without restrain
I'm sure one day we'll meet again.
