Finally, my favorite race, the sick and disgusting Zerg. I guess I didn't want the more handicapped Terran or the popular Protoss, so the Zerg is left

I like the Zerg because they can produce drones at an incredible rate. That way, you can get minerals really quickly. I usually rush with zerglings in the beginning of the game. The Terran might have a few marines and the Protoss can have a few zealots, but the Zerg can produce a lot of weak and cheap zerglings. One zergling can kill one marine 1 on 1! and 3-4 zerglings can kill 1 zealot. When I first overwhelm my opponent with my massive force, I start to build up my second wave and another hatchery to increase production. Depends on the result of the attack, I either go for mutalisks when facing the Protoss or lurkers against the Terran, but if the assault weakened my opponent I might continue to make zerglings and keep the pressure on.

Another strategy the Zerg can use is to make massive hydralisks. Hydralisks are very effective with the upgrades and in masses. They can attack anything. Hydralisks are used to overwhelm another base or fight against another Zerg. On islands, the hydra drop is famous for its effectiveness. The principle behind the strategy is all the overlords who are carring the hydras take all the damage and when they arrive at their destination, they hydras come out fresh and new, without a scratch.

Mutalisks are mainly used for two purposes. First, they are used to harass the Protoss in the beginning. The Protoss can only make Dragoons and cannons in the beginning. Dragoons are slow and clumsy, and mutas can fly around the cannons. When you first attack, have 6 mutas and scout the area and the base. If the resource gatherers are not protected, then attack them first. If they are protected, then you will have to decide either to assault the base or harass a corner of it. When harassing, kill all the dragoons but do not follow them into the range of cannons, which better players are going to do. As you hold more time, make more mutas and eventually, you'll have to use mutas for their second purpose: to make guardians

Guardians are important because of their range of fire. They out range cannon, turrets, bunkers, etc. but always have air support with you. Some scourges can scare away enemies and mutas should be by the guadrian's side.
