Epsilon Rho Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on December 13, 1969 at Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana. At the time of the chapter's organization, there was a strong need for the sisterhood, leadership and scholarship, that Alpha Kappa Alpha provides.
