Travel & Stuff

It's been a pretty good year so far. A few little getaways and events to date and more to come. Some of the highlights so far are:

• Zimbabwe - two weeks taking in the sights of Africa. Highlights were; Lake Kariba, Victoria falls, white-water rafting, numerous golf courses and of course, Castle beer. (June-July 2003)

• A weekend in Northern Ireland, taking in Belfast and the Co. Antrim coast (June 2003)

• Zimbabwe Ski Team dinner raises over US$1000 for Charity (April 2003)

• The Italian job (April 2003) - a quick weeks break in 'Italia'. Managed to get a bit of a look at northern and central Italy, including; Milan, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Venice. Photo's are up, but you've been spared the commentary for now.

• Soccer: Australia 3 - England 1 (Feb 12, 2003)

• New Year Ski trip - Livigno, Italy (Dec 2002 - Jan 2003)

July 22, 2003

Things have been mad since the return from Zimbabwe. Managed to get a few more pics up, will attempt to get the descriptions up when I get a chance.

June 17, 2003

Managed to get out of Dublin the other weekend and head up north. Visited Belfast and drove along the Co. Antrim coast from Portrush back down to Belfast. The big news is I'll be spending Friday night in London for a few beers with Dougie before heading off for two weeks R&R in Zimbabwe. Can't wait.

June 3, 2003

Not much to report. Back to work today after a public holiday in Ireland yesterday. Attempted to play golf yesterday on a typical summer day in Dublin. Burned red raw in the sun and caught a cold.

It is fair to say I am very much looking forward to my trip to Zimbabwe in a couple of weeks where I expect the weather will be a little more pleasant and much less erratic.

I'm giving the page a facelift, so it'll be a bit of a mess until some of the older bits catch up.
