The Indianapolis Colts have added some new faces to their team for the 2005-06 season by naming their 40-member cheerleader squad. The 2005-06 Colts Cheerleaders are comprised of 31 Indiananatives representing 22 different communities. Nine remaining members hail from the mid-western states of Kentucky, Illinois, Massachusetts, Ohio, and internationally from Japan, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Venezuela. More than 300 women competed to become an Indianapolis Colts Cheerleader. The finalists participated in four rounds of auditions which included dance routines, cheering instruction and interviews. Colts Cheerleaders perform at all Colts home games as well as appear at hundreds of Indianapolis-area and state-wide community events throughout the year. The 2005-06 squad is comprised of 21 returning veterans and 19 rookies. The Indianapolis Colts are pleased to announce the 2005-06 Indianapolis Colts Cheerleading squad:
