Nevada, The Baby
Nevada @ 6 Months
Nevada, today, is nearly two years old, and just as much of a baby. However, she is a desert dog in every sense of the word. She has been twice skunked and she has to be watched or it will soon be three times. And, should you ever have a need for the information, we used milk to wash her down and eliminate the smell.
Nevada has also earned her southwestern name, Coyote Fighter. Yes, my baby, is not at all friendly to coyotes. We use to have coyotes as daily visitors, but one morning, when Nevada was let out, a male coyote was napping in the orchard. You talk about a rude awakening. Even though the male was larger, Nevada is larger, a lot stronger, and very possessive. Since that encounter we seldom see coyotes. We hear them, but off into the distance.
