Introduction

The garden was a low maintenance garden. The plants that were purchased were hardy plants. They strive well in frost and grow well in full sun.  We used over 45X20metre rolls of 13mm polytube, 15X20 metres rolls of 19mm polytube, 60 metres of  25mm PVC pipes.   Extra polytubes were place in case we decided to built extra garden beds.  As we operated on a low budget, the digging of the trenches were done by hand.  Some of the polytubes were installed which the house was under construction.  Since we wanted a low maintainace garden, we only allocated a small area for the lawn.

Orchid Garden

The orchid garden was constructed with treated pine round posts. It was then covered with black shaded cloth to protect it from the sun. A match stick blind was also installed in this area. The cubby house was constructed next to the orchid garden. The picture above shows the orchid pergola under contruction. Beautiful orchid would flower just after summer.
