LIL CEASE GETS 5 YEARS:

On Monday, James Lloyd, better known as Lil' Cease, was sentenced to five years probation in New York's Kings County district court after pleading guilty to gun possession.

The charges stemmed from a 2001 incident in which Lloyd, along with fellow Junior M.A.F.I.A. member Larceny (born Antoine Spain) a bodyguard (Suif Jackson) and Damien Butler (a.k.a. D-Roc, onetime road manager of the Notorious B.I.G.), was accused of shooting a Brooklyn man in the leg. Police later found two 9 mm handguns in the SUV they were driving.

Judge Abraham Gerges dropped the additional charges of attempted murder in the second degree, harassment in the second degree and five counts of assault.

Spain's charges of attempted murder are expected to be dismissed as long as Butler, who's already pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, appears for sentencing on January 30. He's expected to be sentenced to three years in prison. Jackson was sentenced on November 6 to five years in state prison. Source: MTV

50 CentsShady Records artist 50 Cent is wasting no time getting his name in the news. On New Year's Eve the rapper was arrested outside a Manhattan nightclub after officers found to guns in a car that was double parked. Police say the received a call about an SUV double parked on the street and upon approaching the vehicle they saw a loaded .25 caliber handgun on the floor. Upon further search, officers found a .45 caliber pistol. 50 Cent and four of his boys were each charged with two counts criminal possession of a handgun.

50 Cent has been recently thrust into the spotlight, by not only signing a deal with Eminem and his Shady Records but also his relationship with slain legendary DJ, Jam Master Jay. When the murder first happened, police speculated that ill relationships that 50 had with other people may had an involvement with Jay's murder. Since then police have downplayed that Jay's killers were after 50 Cent also.
