I didn't write the time down, but I believe we began our summit crossing at about 11:25.  This would be my first summit crossing and I was sort of relieved that I could not see the 1000' plus drop on my right.  Of course I also missed my chance to take pictures of the Windward coast.

I was the caboose for the crossing and missed Dayle's conversation about the perfect woman.  Brenda and Laura were in the middle and I wonder if they were involved in that conversation.  Bill and I kept up a conversation which helped to keep my mind off the drop to the right.  There were mostly native plants growing here and if it hadn't started raining again I might have taken more pictures.  There were lots of O`lapalapa with leaves that seemed smaller than those growing on Kamaileunu Ridge and the Ka`ala bog.
