Ęsop's Fables

"The Fox and the Stork"
There
once was a time when a crafty fox called a stork to dinner. When the stork
arrived the fox served a delicious soup in a large flat dish. The
fox began to lap the soup from his dish. The stork stabbed, with his long
bill, at the soup but to no avail.
"What, you're not
hungry?" laughed the sly fox after finishing his dish. "I must
tell you, the soup is quite delicious."
Not long after, the stork
returned the fox's graciousness and invited him to dinner. After the fox
had been seated the stork served the meal. To the fox's surprise his
dinner was contained in a pitcher with a long narrow neck.
The stork dipped her bill into the
pitcher and with great relish consumed all of its contents. The fox,
though he tried could not get to his meal.
"What, you're not
hungry?" laughed the stork. "next time you come bring your
appetite. I must tell you it was quite delicious."

"Those who dish it out must expect it in
return."
