Ęsop's Fables

"The Cat and the Birds"

Acat once overheard that some birds in a nearby aviary were ill.  Seeing an opportunity he grabbed a satchel and then packed it full of instruments which a doctor might use.  The he dressed himself in a white  physicians coat and set off straight away for the aviary.

Upon arriving at the aviary he asked the occupants if there was anything that he could do to make them feel better.

"Yes," the birds replied through the cage, "Once you leave we will be in a much better mood."

"A villain in disguise will never fool the wise."
