Chapter 5

"Charm, get up!!" Syrus said from Dahven's bedroom doorway.
Groaning in protest, Dahven rolled over, pulling her blankets up and over her head. "This is child abuse. You won't get away with it." She mumbled.
Ignoring it, Syrus picked up the bottom of her blanket, grabbed her ankle and pulled her out of her bed. "Now that you are up," He stated drly. "Come and meet your uncle."
She glared up at him. "I don't have any uncle's, Syrus." Dahven said before pulling her blanket down ontop of her and closing her eyes.
"Well, he's really not your uncle. But he's going to be sort of like one." Syrus said evenly. "Now get up, get dressed, and get down there, and meet him." His ordered sternly.
Dahven groaned again. "Why can't he come at normal hours of the afternoon?" She whined, yawning.
"What are you talking about? It's almost eleven!" Syrus nearly shouted.
Rubbing her now ringing ears, Dahven looked up at him again through blury eyes. "Oh, okay. Then I'll get up." She yawned again, "Is Arie up?"
"He's been up for a few hours now." Syrus said before he slammed her door.
"That was so sweet of you. Daddy." She said harshly as she went into her bathroom.
Quickly showering, she found an outfit, changed, dried her long dark golden hair, and all forty-five minutes.
She was proud of herself. It was a record. Usually she was done in fifteen.
Slowly walking down the stairs, Dahven heard voices in the parlor. Though it was closer to the stairs than the living room was and she'd get there quicker, she was thankful that she wasn't going to have to make a long trip to meet her new 'sort of uncle.'
Walking into the parlor she stood in the large doorway. The scene took her by more than surprise. Julia and her father were there with Syrus, Kasha, and Arie.
She started rubbing her eyes again with the back of her hands. Willing that she was dreaming this. No, having a horrible nightmare. Please God, don’t do this to me this early in the morning. She silently begged to the heavens.
"Are you okay, Charm?" Kasha asked gently.
Reluctantly, Dahven looked up at her mom. "I think I'm gonna go back to bed. Evidently I'm havin' hallucinations." She said as she started to walk away.
"Charisma." Syrus' voice dripped with venom.
"Yes, Daddy?" She asked, matching her tone to his easily.
"Stay and meet Mister William Reed. You already know Julia." Syrus said taking her elbow in an iron grip and ushering her over to the tall man with ash colored hair.
Dahven shook his extended hand. "Hi, I don't know you, but I'm told you're gonna become my 'sort of uncle." She said smiling sweetly.
Thank you, God. She thought sarcastically to herself. I’m not sure about what I did, but I know it couldn’t have been that bad.
Julia flinched at her words and glared.
Dahven only smiled, just sweetly, at her too. "And Julia, it is so good to see you again. I do hope that you had a good time last night and that you are getting re-adjusted to 'Tulsa Life.' Since it is so much different than Beverly Hills."
Julia forced herself to sweetly too. But only because her father looked at her, smiling. "Oh, I never really fit into Beverly Hills. Tulsa will always be home to me."
I just bet it will be. Dahven thought, keeping her smile kept firmly in place.
After an hour of the unbearable and a cruel kind of torture, Dahven left to find shelter in her room. Complaining of a headache.
I bet they think I have a tumor now because of all the 'headaches' I'm getting. She smiled to herself.
Her phone rang making her jump slightly, and making her laugh at herself for her stupidity.
"Mmmbop central, this is Taylor." She said smiling. "Oh, hey, Isaac." She said laughing. "Well, I couldn't say I was you because my voice can't go that deep." She explained.

"Tay, get off the phone!" Isaac shouted at his brother impatiently. "I need to call D!"
Taylor rolled his eyes. "Shawn, I gotta go. Ike needs the phone. Yeah, I'll bring the game over tomorrow. Okay, bye." He said hanging up the phone. "There! Take it!" He exclaimed throwing Isaac the phone as if it were hot.
Isaac caught it. "Finally." He growled, dialing Dahven's number. "D, you're not Taylor." He said laughing, his shoulders automatically relaxing at her voice. "Well, I hope your voice can't go as deep as mine. That'd be scary."
"D, I have to ask you a question." He said quietly.
Dahven sighed into the phone. "I was wondering when you were going to get to the point, Isaac. So what is it?"
Isaac was silent for a moment, the proceeded to tell about his date last night. "It's just that, Julia has changed so much. I barely even know her anymore. And I don't even know if I still have the same feelings for her." He confessed.

Dahven waited for Isaac to tell her his problem. I don't even know if I still have the same feelings for her.
The words echoed in her head and her heart jumped for joy. She was about to tell him to forget her and try someone new, but quickly threw that thought out of her head. Loyalty would never allow her to do that to a friend. Let alone her best friend.
"Listen, Isaac," She started but then she swallowed hard. "We all have changed. Time does that to people sometimes. This is just like you are meeting her all over again. Getting to know her again. That's all." She explained softly. "You're lucky, you get the chance to fall in love all over again."
She heard Isaac laugh lightly. "Thanks, D." He said kindly. "You always know what I'm supposed to do."
"That's what friends are for." She said calmly. Tears starting to come to her eyes. "Listen, I need to go, Isaac. I'm supposed to be conversing with some people in my house. See ya later, okay? Yeah, I love you too." She said softly; then she hung her phone up quickly.
The tears that she had try to force back came pouring down. "Only I'm starting to love you differently now, than how you love me." She whispered.
Quickly, she wiped her tears away and went back down the stairs and into the parlor. William Reed and Julia were still there. She silently groaned to herself. She asked looking up at the ceiling towards the Heavens. I didn't give him bad advice. Yet you are punishing me. Why? She silently asked.

"So what's Charms latest advice for you?" Taylor asked putting his book down and looking at Isaac.
Isaac smiled. "That I need to get to know Julia all over again, and to know that everybody changes."
Taylor nodded thoughtfully. "Surprise, surprose, she's right."
"Why do you think I go her, instead of you?" He asked laughing.
Taylor laughed too. "Because she looks better in a dress?" He asked.
Isaac hit him with a pillow. "I don't think that about her, Tay."
Taylor gave him a funny look. "Amazing." He said in wonder. "Because every other guy has." Shrugging, he stated picked his book back up.
Isaac got up on his bed. Thinking about what Taylor said. Then he shook his head and picked up his own book.
