Hello, lovelies!
So, what's new? What's NOT? 2004, all disappointments aside, was very good to me. I got my book deal, and commenced to write my first book, Sexy Witch, in less than three months. I finished it on Samhain, and sent it out to the great folks at Llewellyn. They seem excited about Sexy Witch, as am I! My pub date is November 1, 2005, Samhain once again. (Yay for magick!) I can't imagine a better or more rewarding way for me to get to celebrate Samhain of 2005!!! (Keep your eyes open for an invitation to my book release party as Samhain draws nearer. The event will take place in Ukiah.)
Right now I am working on getting booked at as many events and festivals as possible before the book release, as after that I will be focusing on book tours for a few months. So, if you have me in mind for an event let me know. I'm scheduling through July right now, and then I plan to take some time off in August and September to hang out with my kids and my very understanding and supportive husband.
Speaking of the husband, if you haven't yet checked out Bobby's music do so here. hands upon black earth is beginning to play live more often and more widely. You never know, they may be playing in your town soon. we are also working on producing events together that will merge magick and music, so you can expect to see more of that in the next few months.
For those of you who are used to the parties we host at the river House, I will alert you to the fact that there are changes on the horizon. Bobby, me, my often-times co-facilitator Traci Burleigh, and a whole slew of new friends are embarking on the creation of a group dedicated to community building, Witch-consciousness, fun, festival and worship. There are a lot of new happenings coming into being. We'll fill you in as things manifest.
How blessed we are to be moving ever more steadily into our lives work being making positive change in the world. May this be your blessing in the coming year, and years, as well.
