Rose Garden Plan The rose garden is divided into eight beds which form a rectangle around the potager. The outer perimeter of the rose garden is planted with iris on the east side, lavender on south side (and eventually on the west side), and blueberries and raspberries on the north side. The borders are edged with antique bricks. The beds are a mix of roses and perennials.

My spray regime consists of dormant oil in the winter and WiltPruf during the growing season on roses that show signs of blackspot. This has worked well for me so far.

For fertilizer I've used Rosetone, Fertrel, and a Spring and Fall Tonic I found on the web. So far, I've been most pleased with the Spring and Fall Tonic. When using Rosetone, my potted roses often showed signs they were lacking in iron and I've heard similar reports from other rosarians.
