I
went to my Senior Prom and I had a complete blast the
whole day! I had my hair done (yes it's real color)
After
getting ready, Mike and his brother picked me up, my parents
took pictures of us, we went to Mike's house, his dad
took pictures of us, and then I drove the Cadillac to
Ades' house.
We
left at around 4:45PM to go to early bird pictures at
the hotel. We got lost because of stupid directions (use
mapquest next time, you tards). We got to pictures at
6:10PM, called Top of the Cove to see if it was alright
to be late. It was.
Got
pictures, headed over to Top of the Cove, promptly got
lost. We got there at 7PM, half an hour late. Needless
to say, our table turned out to be crappy, away from the
main dining room. Dinner took 2.5 hours. When we were
ready to leave, we saw some firemen walk by. That was
pretty amusing, but then it was very un-amusing when we
saw that they were getting this dead-ish person off of
the floor.
As
a result, we were late. The prom was supposed to close
doors at 10. That was bad. It was now ten 'til 10. Thankfully,
we got lost *roll eyes*.
I
made a pseudo time line for you:

10:17PM
- Seventeen minutes after deadline and we're trying to
find the place again at night. Here are Adrian and Ko
in the front, Mike and I sat in the back. The middle picture
is of Adrian flashing "the signal" to Sean who
was following us in his car. Sean broke his pants before
we left the restaurant.

10:23PM
- "Oh this is great. Don't worry guys, we can tell
them we were late to Prom because my pants broke."
Yeah, you looked like a pervert fiddling with yourself
in front of the restaurant.

10:27PM
- We got to the lobby and I was happy to see that Lexus
and Jeanette made it!!! We smuggled them in.

10:33
- We were able to get into the prom. We told Mr. Swift
about the heart attack/seizure/death thing at the restaurant,
and about Sean's pants breaking. In the first picture,
I'm with Ken and Sean. He was in coat and tails, which
was ultra-original. In the middle picture, Crystal Texas
is with my best boy Kyle. ^_^

10:44PM
- I saw more people in the lobby. Bree made her cammy
dress. Here she poses with Mike. Mr. Banatao and I are
in the middle picture. He is one of my favorite adults,
and I consider him one of my friends. The last picture
is of Karen, Reuben, and I at our jazziest. Asian Avenue
got together for a professional group picture.

11:05PM
- We finally got in the ballroom and practically everyone
was on the floor.

11:06PM
- I found the Koreans and reconvened with my group nearby.
Jen and I are in the first picture, Yoshie and Cristian
are in the third, and Evan is busting it in the last picture.

11:08PM
- Karen and Jon let out another barbaric yawp (see Morp).
Kyle and Karen are dancing in the second picture.

11:13PM
- Bob joined us and is seen here dancing fruitfully with
Karen. They pose with Denise and her $640 dollar dress
(no joke!). The Koreans pose with her, too. Yoshie is
sticking her head up back there. Chris is in the last
picture with Denise.

11:30PM
- Half an hour left. I get a snapshot with Alexis and
Kyle.

11:55PM
- The last songs are being played. Ironically, everyone
gets a little more comfortable and we all start having
a blast. Even Jeff!!!

11:56PM
- You know Elliot's comfortable when he starts turning
ghetto. Even Adrian loosened up and started dancing more.
That pleased Ko, who had been trying to get him to dance
all night.
The
last two songs were slow, which gave us time to get close
to the ones we loved. I slow danced with Mike for the
first time. That was really nice. As important as it was,
I felt the best part of the night was when I got to dance
with my boy Kyle. He's a dog ^_^ My dawg. I cried ;(

12:30PM
- After the dance ended, the lights were up, and the centerpieces
stolen, we headed home. Yay for traffic! So as not to
break tradition, we got lost.
(1:02PM) Here Mike and I are waiting at Bonita Jack In
The Box to go to Josh's house for afterparty.

1:29PM
- We finally got to the house. We got to relax! But that
was after the boys showed us the tap routine they worked
on in the La Jolla bathrooms. Afterwards, everyone pretty
much crashed out. We changed into more comfortable clothes.
Ms. Hernandez served us cheeze and sushi and fruit and
cake and other yummies.
(3:11) Michael came along, too. We were still up (most
of us) and messing around, as you can see.
Special
thanks to Josh's mom for providing us with good food and
the use of their beautiful house, Mike's dad for letting
us use the Cadillac, and the La Jolla Fire Department
and Paramedic, for giving us a bittersweet memory. The
whole Prom experience was great!
