Although
I'm not a big part of the BV Service Club (I'm not really
in it at all, even though I still help out), I got to
go on the end-of-the-year trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain
in Valencia.
We
met at 6:20AM Saturday morning. I got dropped off at McDonalds
and then Karen took Ken and I up to the school. We would
be taken by a charter bus up to Six Flags.

The
bus ride up was fun. We played word games and stuff, but
mostly people just slept or listened to music (like Karen
and Elliot here).

When
we got there, though, we split off into groups and messed
around for a bit until we figured out a reasonable ride
schedule.

We
saw this cool-looking fountain. Elliot and Kyle, being
who they are, decided to have some perverted fun (see
Kyle's creative use of the fountain). We also came across
some bear statues. Kyle is shown here em... examining
one of the statues.

Adnan
didn't let Kyle have all the fun. Cowpoke Adnan rides
a bear... and then... rides the bear again.
When
we got to going on some real rides, some people bowed
out of the scarier ones. Kyle and Jacel, unfortunately,
missed out on Goliath, one of the best rides there.
After
the swinging boat ride thingy, we ate some food, and then
went on a less-threatening ride, Spin Out. Kyle bowed
out again because he just ate.

Craig,
my ride buddy, had to miss Spin Out because he was over
the 75" limit... by an inch!!! I'm sure he
would have been totally safe. Poor craig.

The
ride was pretty amusing. It's very similar to the gravitron
rides at the carnival. The centrifugal (or centripital...
I forget) forces you to the wall, restricting movement
as you spin around in circles. Naoko and Amy are in the
first shot, and Adrian is featured with his hair messed
up in the second shot. The last shot (and arguably the
cutest picture) is of Adnan and Jacel!
After
more messing around, Batman the Ride, and the Riddler,
we walked up a very steep hill in search of another attraction.
We just found a tram that went back down the hill and
to a carousel, which we made use of. We rode twice.

Elliot
was chillin until the second time, where he turned into
a Ruff Ryder.

Adnan
and Jacel also chilled. After a while, though, Adnan put
on a little pole dance.

Adrian
and Jacel got Craig to loosen up a bit more. Adnan took
this opportunity to do a little more bear riding.

Here,
Elliot takes pictures with his camera while Kyle poses
for mine.

We
went to Panda Palace within the park to go get something
to drink (not to eat, however -- $2 an eggroll??!!!),
and Elliot got some bear action of his own. I laugh my
butt off every time I see his face in this picture.
As
quitting time approached, we decided to go on a water
ride. It was a one hour, thirty minute wait. It took only
about an hour.

We saw some of our other friends there. Andrew was chillin
in the line with his friend Mike.

I got a good shot of Craig. He looks fantastic here. Everyone
talked on in the line. Michelle poses here on Craig's
shoulder. An hour flew by.
Boarding
time was easy. The max number of people was 12. We had
12 people!

These are the people I hung out with the whole day: my
rollercoaster buddy Craig, Amy and Brenda, Adnan and Jacel,
Naoko and Brian, Yoshie and Kyle, and Michelle and Elliot
(not pictured: Adrian -- he didn't want to get wet, that
smart, smart boy).

Afterwards, we emptied the water out of our bags and off
of our clothes and a few guys messed around on a wall.
They tried to get atop the wall with a running start.
Mike didn't have a problem with it. After a few tries,
Adnan did it with ease as well. Andrew, however, had a
tougher time. Six tough times I think. Ouch.
When
it was almost time to board the bus, a few of us rode
Viper a couple of times and bought souveniers.

The giddiness hadn't worn off during the bus ride home.
We played more camp games and truth or dare. Here, Mitu
was dared to sit on Adnan's lap for 10 seconds.
I was grateful to have to opportunity to join my friends
on this free trip. Thanks Mr. Swift!
