The War On Infogrames
Part One: Visions of Deceit

Prologue

It was a dark and stormy night.  On the small island known as Infogramia just south of the Hawaiian Islands, an even worse storm was brewing.

Inside a rather large facility, two mysterious men were contemplating their goals.  Sitting at a computer desk, with a small desk lamp providing the only light in the entire office, Kirby Fong, head of operations at Infogrames, had an evil smirk on his face.  "I'm telling you, Bill, this plan of ours will definitely work.  If you thought we made money with this first version, imagine the cash flow from the next console version!"  The other man, shrouded under a veil of shadows, preferred not to enter the light.  "I'm still not sure about this.  You'd be pulling the wool over the eyes of those fans all over the country!  What if they find out about our deal before we can have it fully realized?!"

Fong got up from his seat, and put his hand on Bill's shoulder.  "Mister Gates, why can't you see the benefits this would provide for your computer company?  Your system is failing, and it needs this support almost as much as my company needs YOUR support."

Bill Gates stared at Fong for a second.  "All right, Mister Fong.  Microsoft will begin the porting of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee to the X-Box right away."

Fong turned to Gates as he picked his jacket up from his chair.  "With added extras, I might add."  The two laughed maniacally and turned to leave.

A pair of eyes had watched the entire encounter.  Hovering on glistening rainbow-colored wings, Fairy Mothra flew off to report to her superiors about the deal that had just taken place. 

Something had to be done.
