Ritual Decks

Ritual decks...about time I made one of these articles. I'm only going to do a few rituals, because in reality most(read: almost all) aren't worth it. However, the few that are worth it are very strong cards when used in a deck built for them.

Black Luster Soldier...this is probably the strangest deck I've ever seen. BLS seems like a waste when you compare it to these other rituals...however, he has a GREAT effect sidekick and awesome Warrior support. Plus, it's fairly easy to obtain three Ritual BLS...nobody wants them from the Yugi Evo.

Legendary Flame lord is an interesting Ritual. I overlooked it when I originally had this page in mind, but some people made LFL Decks on the boards, and strangely enough, they looked fairly solid. It's an easy Ritual to get; it's only a rare, and the effect isn't that bad. It has to be pretty Magic heavy though, in order to keep the Spell Counter count high. I'm interested to see how this deck would fare at a tournament.

Shinato decks are cool. Shinato himself has one of the most unique effects in the game; he deals reverse trample damage. Instead of attacking a defense position monster and dealing the overflow damage, he deals damage to your opponent equal to the defense monster's attack. So if you attack a defense Goblin Attack Force with Shinato, your opponent will take 2300 damage. Pretty deadly, right? Well, there are cards such as Big Bang Shot and Fairy Meteor Crush that can give Shinato trample. So now when you attack that GAF, not only do you deal trample damage(3300 or 3700 because of Shinato's massive attack) AND you deal damage equal to the attack(2300). 5700 or 6000 damage from one attack is pretty nice.

Zorc...ooh, this is such an evil card. He has a 100% chance of monster removal with his effect, and a 1/6 chance of hurting you. 6/6 chance of hurting the opponent is pretty good. Of course, if you do roll that 6, you can always use Dice Re-Roll and try again. Gamble decks are FUN with Zorc. It's either a Raigeki, Dark Hole, or free Tribute to the Doomed. You can't get better monster removal than that.

For now, that concludes Rituals. I might add a Relinquished/TER Deck sometime, but that's in the future. Please note that you shouldn't even attempt to make one of these decks until you own three Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands. Ritual decks CANNOT be successful without three of those.
